Default Do you want a FREE BMW? 1 with every purchase

We just got a promo today, a free BMW, or Bentley and entered into a prize draw of a private jet or private island.

With properties from just over 50k sterling, and 70% mortgages available, that is car as well as deposit on a property for just over 15k sterling. How much are BMW in the UK these days, 20k, and then you get a renter in to pay the mortgage.

On paper it looks good at least!

"Free" BMW?

You don't suppose that its cost just might be included in the purchase price, do you?

No, it doesn't even look good on paper.

It just looks like another con to target the gullible who have more money than sense.

Default Too much negativity - be positive

Yes, and no. No one gives anything for Free that is true.

But look on the upside. When has any one in any market given big special deals, be positive about it. Someone will win a private jet or an island. Let people dream, rather than be so down about it all.

"With properties from just over 50k sterling"

Ha! ... expensive dream! ! !

Sorry, but I just can't agree. I have always felt that those with good value products will not need to resort to enticements to sell their goods. There are enough people out there who can spot a decent deal.

And of course, even the "prize" comes at a price. Unless you go under the mistaken assumption that these people are just giving away Bentleys and Private Islands because they like making others happy, then you have to admit that the "prize" will have to be funded somehow. And this takes us straight to the lottery principle. When somebody wins millions in a lottery draw, where do you think the money comes from? Answer: The prize is, of course, financed by those players who lost (with the difference going into the pockets of the organizers). The exact same principle applies here. So unless you like to gamble at 50K a go, I advise all to stay away!

It's just that I don't really feel like paying for somebody else's Tropical Paradise...

Here some details about Damac's promo;
# A BMW 1 series with a studio, or one bedroom apartment or office /retail unit
# A BMW 3 series with a 2 bedroom apartment or above
# A Bentley Continental with every Signature Duplex and Penthouse

As someone else has mentioned, these enticing gifts are probably priced in.

I wonder if Damac would consider keeping the car but offering a discount on purchase price!

If you read the T&Cīs carefully you will see that there is a cash value to each car they are giving away. Plus there is a private island and private jet (worth about 5 million dollars) up for grabs.

Good luck to everyone entering the draw!

There is a cash value, and I have the wrong price, apologies, the units start at 100k sterling not 50k! big difference, so 30% down is 30k sterling minimum, a BMW cost you 18k, so yes, no free lunch, but eye catching publicity.

All true things said, it is a promo, 1 or 2 people will be quids in, but like all things in life, there are winners and the others are paying for it, but it gives people a chance to dream, not many will own private jet or island, so it is good in that respect. A bit like the lottery, you got to be in it to win it.

100k not 50k cheapest. My mistake.

Yes there is a cash alternative for every free car.

It is Free gift and genuinely Free. We've been doing it for 3 years, that's the forth, and have you had anyone's investment going down in value after paying for it? the answer is NO, and I challenge anyone to prove me wrong!

Therefore, if you invest 100K [or more] and get a FREE BMW [or Bentley], as long as you're 100K investment is going up in value, then you had a positive investment, and a FREE car.

Thanks for being grateful. I'm happy to debate this point as much as anyone wants, but don't pls don't "judge" upon things negatively before you analyze them, and give others [DAMAC in this instance] the benefit of the doubt, or at least the right to logically respond!

Regards to all,
Good luck to all,
Rammah
