Default Charges

I just rented an apartment in the France cluster. Its a studio. I would like to know what and how is the procedure for the following. PLUS what are the charges (deposit + connection + installation etc)

1) DEWA, i assume its 1000 for a new connection, so how do i go about this and where can i go ? Is the PINK building next to the france cluster a DEWA building ? More accurately its at the corner of the roundabout (main entrance i guess ) that stands between morocco and france. Is that just a power house or we can apply for connection and pay bills there ?

2) Internet ?

3) Telephone ?

I guess internet and telephone is by du, so what are the documents needed and how do i proceed.

Plus does anyone know how the gas cylinder and water bottle system work in IC ? and what are their contact numbers.

Thanks in advance

1. Dude.. for DEWA, there is a union co-op that is open till 2 right next to intl city. if u go towards the fruit and vegetrable market u'll see the union co-op and when u go in u can ask any1 wher eit is to get the connection. they usually ahf ur electricity and water running up within an hour.

2 and 3 = u need to go to the du office which is in building number 5 at DIC (Dubai Internet City). U need to take a copy of ur passport, residency, tenancy contract and a document that shows the proof of owner of landlord.

i don't cook so can't help u with the gas and water bottle system.. altho if u wait a day or two, u'll find a whole bunch stickers and flyers outside ur door for a company that can deliver gas when u call them and same with water.

hope that helps

Cheers mate, that lil info was much appreciated, and thanks.

About the DEWA, i guess it will take time for the owner to transfer in his name as they are having some issues with nakheel + dewa, well, if things were so easy then ppl wouldent crib about nakheel, dubai and dewa lol.

Anyways lets see how the gas and water goes cause i "think" i saw a grocery near the main roundabout, next time will go ask them if they can provide the 2.

Anyways thanks
