Default Maintenance charges

I have an appartment at Silicon Oasis which will be ready in a few weeks and have been told the maintenance charges will be 13.5aed per sq ft.This seems quite alot for the area, does anyone know the going rates for other areas?

Anything around the 10 is standard. 13.5 is a bit on the expensive side but definitely not extortionate. Some developments have maintenance costs of 6 (early JVS developments), but this is for projects that were released 2-3 years back (when everything was cheaper in Dubai). Maintenance costs also depend on the quality of the development. Anyways, I think 15 will become the norm from now on for new developments.
