Who is buying in Egypt?

There is an amazing amount of new building both in the new resorts and the towns; BMI have just announced new daily flights and there are signs that prices will come down in the medium term. There are still difficulties getting a mortgage but there is plenty of evidence that this will be resolved. All of these issues are combining to make Egypt a very exciting emerging market both for investors and lifestyle buyers - but who are these buyers? Take a look at the attached poll and lets see if we can get a clearer picture of the emerging market.

i can find no flights to hurghada with bmi unless you have a link only Cairo, Egypt so i not see how this will help prices in the short term

We met BMI at a Place in the Sun in Birmingham last week and they were beginning daily flights to Cairo this week; Hurghada is then a quick one hour hop from Cairo on Air Egypt. I do not know what the prices are like but its encouraging that a budget operator has at least entered the arena - hopefully it will encourage others to do the same.
