Thanks Bob! It would still be good to get input concerning other areas of Egypt. Anyone know anything about Developments in Alexandria or Luxor? Does anyone on the forum have experience of living there? Also, is there a 'buy to let' market in Cairo and has anyone explored that avenue?
If you have, then please share your experience; or maybe you have friends who are knowledgeable about these areas. Why not introduce them to the forum?

I have noticed recently new developments in Luxor on the East bank overlooking the Nile; prices are similar to front line beach on the Red Sea. Most new building is in the East of the city as the West is where the cemeteries are! Hence the Valley of the Kings is on the West Bank of the Nile.

Hi people,

I would like to thank everybody for keeping the promotional stuff in the correct department,it has made a definate change to the look of the forum.
One or two have tried posting promotional material on the Egypt forum but have realised and moved it or had it removed.
Please keep it clean and once again thankyou.

We have definately succeeded in cleaning up the site and keeping promotional posts where they belong. The new threads which have started recently reflect peoples views or real concerns and a problem shared can often be resolved.
If you have friends who are interested in Egypt then encourage them to join; if you are members of other forums maybe suggest that others join Totally Property too. The more new members we can attract then the more we open up debate and get new ideas and perspectives. Anyone else got any ideas how we can expand the membership?

Perhaps users flagging posts within the thread will be sufficient to dent the reputation of the poster? I think over moderation (unless required) can be a bad thing too, so giving users the control maybe the way to go.
Good idea.
