Default Anyone know the area of El Ahiaa?

Do any of our Hurghada residents know this area which I believe is between Hurghada and El Gouna?
Is there much built there, shops restaurants etc or is it a development area for the future?
Any comments would be much appreciated.

Peter that is the road area to where Gamsha Bay will be built, there is existing development there. If you have clients etc, we can assist you, if it is just to know, than a bit of research should yield results. thanks dc. If you have no joy, I can ask for you. Our chap is quite busy, so when he has a moment free.

El Ahiaa/El Nord is one of the three main building hotspots in 'Greater Hurghada' (the other two being Sahl Hasheesh and Touristic Centre/El-Kawser).

The reason is that it is the closest place to Hurghada for beachfront property as pretty much everything else in the main 30km that Hurghada stretches at the moment is already gone (or owned by the military still for the time being).

In Propertastic's Complete Guide to Hurghada Property and Egypt's Red Sea Riviera Real Estate, we cover eight different developments that being built in this region.

The Beta version was pre-released to the trade yesterday and will be released to the public towards the end of next week.

In summary, there is a huge amount of development going on there. Not much infrastructure surrounding it yet, but there is sure to be once all the new resorts start to open.

I'm assuming that it is NOT near Gamsha Bay , as quoted in a previous post, since this is not Hurghada.

Do you have any maps - or can you please give an idea of the location in terms of the distance from Hurghada (North or south) or from El Gouna etc.

One of my most frustrating activities while in HUrghada was trying to get a good map. I came home with three, but they are all terrible.

A major problem is the fact that different people call different areas by different names and there are no defined borders to them.

So, for the forthcoming Propertastic's Complete Guide to Hurghada Property and Egypt's Red Sea Riviera Real Estate I had to create one for myself.

And here it is:

So exactly how far away Al Ahiaa is from Hurghada depends upon where Hurghada officially ends. It's probably about 5km from El Dahar/Old Town and about 10km south of El Gouna.

As Gamsha Bay is 60km north of Hurghada and thus 45km north of El Gouna, it;s nowhere near Gamsha Bay.

Hope this helps.

Are you protective of your map.

You can use it.

If you're putting it online, it would be nice to have a linkback saying something like:

Taken from Propertastic's Complete Guide to Hurghada Property

Pointed to:

propertastic.com

Thanks!
