Does anyone know what the building that is being built behind El Andalous is going to be? I heard a rumour it was going to be a health centre but don't know for sure.

Last weekend I wrote to the Orbit Group for info on the building behind El Andalous and also asking about what was planned for Plot 11. As soon as I get a reply (or should I say If I get a reply!!!) I will post it on the forum.
Incidentally, there are some good photos of the current progress of construction available. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Hi Chris,
I am now reliably informed that the building is in fact going to be the medical centre, and that it is going to be 3 floors high. (ground, 1st and 2nd). This is bad news for us as we are at the back on the 4th floor and will face straight into it!! As you can imagine, we were sold the apartment as having views of the golf course but the only way it looks like we will have golf views is to put a cardboard cut-out picture of it on the balcony!! Not pleased to say the least. Have you bought in the back aisle of El Andalous as well?

Steve

Thanks for that info. Nope we've bought across the road in Sunset Pearl and thankfully our appartment faces out across Red Sea Pearl near the swimming pool looking down the gap between the buildings. I'm 'reliably' told <koff> that there will be no other building from there to the sea. With all the space available across the road from El Andalous they could have used that for the medical centre and left directly behind El Andalous as an open space.

It will be commercial; shops on the ground floor, offices on the upper floors.

It is not on the market yet and so it is not possible to say for sure what ype of outlets will be occupying the space.

Default Do not read this if you are eating breakfast!

I visited El Andalous yesterday with my friend who is purchasing an apartment there and the whole development is coming on nicely and looking good with the corridors now being tiled.

Having lived in Egypt many years I am used to visiting friends apartments that are under construction and without a doubt there will be a pile of human sh*t somewhere. However, nothing prepared us for the quantity and stench in my friends apartment at El Andalous on her newly tiled floor and all the urine too. Surely this will seep into the concrete and the smell will not go away?

I just don't get it. Why aren't the workers provided with somewhere to go? Or at least why can't they use all the rubble areas? Why do they have to use a newly tiled floor?

Hi Georgina I agree - they can surely dig a hole outside to do it in?? This was happening on our development and I had a word with the developer ( amongst others as well Im sure ) and it seems to have done the trick as the last few visits I only saw one pile of it on a roof top ( I went into loads of different blocks and apartments ) . Whereas before it was everywhere. There really is no need to do it on someones newly tiled floor - espec number 1's where men can do it anywhere outside alot easier than us women. Maybe they would get arrested if caught doing it outside on a building site?? Must admit never seen a portaloo on any site so I suppose when you gotta go you gotta go but they need to choose where they go more carefully!!

Hi Margaret,

Thats good to hear -did you manage to have a look at any of them? Are you buying on El Andalous? If so which apartment are you buying? Don't know if you are aware but there's a google group specifically for Sahl Hasheesh owners and some of them are hoping to meet up at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent soon to have a chat about things.

Regards

Penny
