Think i will give that one a miss then ...can't you tell i am an expert in geography..(haha) looks like i will be staying local ..just needed pots pans etc...think i'll just take some over with me, I did see some there but there not very good...so if anyone has bought any were did you get from ?.

You can find good things at Zahran, opposite Abu Ashara Family Market on the road to Dahar. I bought all my pots there, my advice is to buy the Tefal ones.
For all electric devices (kitchen tools, flatscreen etc.) go to Radwan el Ogail, opposite of the Metro Supermarket, on the same road.

in Sharm you will enjoy but big difference between sharm & hurghada as no socila life not real life city only Naama bay and old market area other are hotels and dessert, just hotels covers all beachs and big distance between each area which means you can\t walk only taxi which charge you from 25 L.E to 50 L.E the colors of taxi there is blue and white

i agree with George Sharm and Hurghada are two different to compare.


the road from sharks bay to naama is odd hotels and casinos to one side , nothing to the other , then when you get to naama , there is concentration.. you have hotels like the movenpic beach front, then the marina area, and the shopping complex and hard rock cafe etc.. we ejoyed sharm but hurghada in my opinion has much more to offer and much differentiation.. foodwise .. there is a fab chinese restaurant up a side street then up a flight of stairs.. if it it still there, the camel bar offers a lively atmosphere .. the shisha cafes are plentiful.. any more info let me know.. im glad to have chosen hurghada though, even though i cant afford sharm!! ..

Hi Everyone from B.R.

The flight advice is great will be trying it out in July, to Cairo..

I have flown from Luxor to Sharm before though and the flight was really quick..There isnt much there in sharm, it all goes on in Naama Bay..we did stay in a nice old hotel ,i think, it was one of the oldest 15 mins from the Airport on the Ras Mohamed national park . It had five private beaches and the fish swam right up to hand, it's lovely.. but i agree with everyone else it doesnt have the same appeal ..it's.a bit like Blackpool or Benidorm .

I know this is supposed to be about the Britissh Resort..but it doesnt hurt to share what we know about other parts of Egypt ...And i wouldn't have had any idea of what to do about my flight to Cairo without it

So i thank you all and can't wait to meet up with you all, you will know me ,i'm the dippy one haha
