Only just got back from Scotland for Christmas and New Year and just seen your e mail. Such a pity because it would have been good to know if they have in fact done anything to the apartment since we left in September as they promised it would be finished mid November - somehow I don't think it will have been. But thank you for the offer. If we need to give permission for anyone to enter our apartment is this to be done by e mail to Developer?

Iain if you are out in February could we ask that you check ours out for us as we are due to go there on 3rd March for 1 week and do plan to stay there.

Hi Dawn - Elaine is flying out and staying in my apartment next week so I could ask her if she would check for you?? You would need to arrange for whoever has the key to let her in and personally I would just drop the developer an email to let them know.

Alison, if Elaine does not mind a quick look in to see the state of play would be helpful. Ahmed has the keys so i will e mail him and ask him to make the keys available. What date is she going out and I will let him know.

Iain, I will probably take up your offer as well. I am a bit concerned that the apt is ready on the 3rd March and we dont have a repeat of September.

Can I ask if any Sierra owners where advised of the benefits you would receive when you went through the sales process with SRE with regards to the hotel facilities etc.

If so can you pm or email me with details of what you were told / promised when sold the property and by whom.

I and some other Sierra owners are collating this information and would appreciate a response by this Friday.

Hi there Alison,we were under the impression we could use the hotels pool,but people staying at the hotel couldnt use our pools..also we could use the hotels restaurants by purchasing a voucher.I guess it depends on which hotel chain takes the site on,they may have there own terms and conditions.Did I imagine it,or was there mentioned once,that if our appartments handover dates exceded,the developer would pay us £100 per month...our handover was due december 31st just gone,now it is going to be in march..and I doubt that date too.
When you did your handover do we have to pay the balance in sterling or egyptian le?

Hi Stu - just butting in here on your question to Alison. In the early literature maintenance was mentioned in Sterling but I think later in E£. certainly it is mentioned in my contract and is in Eg£. To be fair, I think this is reasonable, as Sterling has depreciated by over 20% although one always has to ask the question what would have happened had it gone the other way. After the drop in the interest rate today we can only expect Sterling to fall further, I shall resist commenting! Iain

i have lots to sort out myself and am worried my apartment won't be ready for handover either. if you can get Ahmed to call round to alison's on the 16th, i should be lounging round the pool in the afternoon (well i deserve a little bit of R&R !!!)
