As I will be sourcing furniture I will get some prices and post pics etc as well.
Looks like you'll be busy! If you get a chance 22A12 please!

Default Sierra Resort building pictures.

We visited Sierra Resort early April and took pictures of the whole site plus beach and route to it. Slowly creating a Community web site for owners of property at Sierra. Pictures of all buildings except last three groups, buildings # 60 to 86 are available now as are details of the beach.

We have purchased building #29 and are back in September for a couple weeks, building supposed to be finished in August but have booked a villa rather than take a chance, which if you look at our building you would understand. We plan on living there full time when we have everything sorted out so the web site should be going for some time. Its started a bit small but we plan to build on it and hopefully it will become usefull to most people at the resort.

Jeff.

Default Regarding my previous message

StuandChelle

Hi, I did read your message and replied but it appears I am not allowed to post URL's and Email addresses on here so Totally Property have edited out my references. Can only apologise to both yourselves, Totally Property and anyone else who may be put out by my actions.

To any one else reading this, we wonder if there are others, like ourselves, who are planning to live on the resort as against using it for holidays?

Jeff.

Hi Jeff and welcome to the form. Its lovely to see another buyer. Your post looks like it was edited becuase you had mentioned another website?? Totally property will not allow posts that direct to other websites that have / will have a forum. This is understandable as TP pay alot of money to be top on google and this is how they get the members. As you can appreciate it would be unfair to advertise or promote another site on this forum or PM or email other members with the information.

After 20 posts you will be able to post some pics which would be great. Good luck. Mine should be ready by the time we go over in June - but hey ho we know what they are like.
We too are hoping to move over but not for a couple of years yet.

Regards
Alison

Hi all - I have made notes of your apartment numbers and will try and take as many pics as I can when we are out in a couple of weeks. Just bought a new camera so I will practise 1st as havent got a clue how to work it. It has a built in video as well so I will try and video some blocks as well.

Does any one want any pics of anywhere else taken eg Naama, Il Mercato?? We will probably spend a day at the new waterpark in Hadaba so will try and take some pics there as well.

Hi Jeff and welcome to the forum. Its good to hear of others planning to relocate to Egypt. Can I ask why Egypt? Will you still be working or just taking it easy? We relocate to Hurghada next month but thats because our business is there. Do you plan to take much with you? We are in the process of getting shipping quotes so it would be interesting to hear of your experiences.

Default Reply to Peter

Hi Peter, and thanks for the welcome. I have just posted a message on the Introduction thread giving a brief outline of us. We chose Sharm in Egypt for several reasons, Tracey, my partner, has always had a fascination with Egypt from quite an early age and managed with a group of friends to spend her ?? birthday on a Nile cruise and absolutely loved Egypt, so much so that the following year she did a charity cycle ride of almost 500 Km alongside the Nile from Cairo to Aswan then on to Luxor. We then decided to learn to scuba dive in England and when we qualified decided to go somewhere that was highly rated for its diving. We liked it so much that after a very short but serious discussion period decided to give it a try out there, and also of course it gets us out of the rat race that is the UK now. As to taking things with us, basically just the clothes we stand up in and of course our dive kit, The hassle of packing everything and arranging shipping then dealing with Egyptian Customs Officials is just a bit daunting. Also I believe their import duty is very high. Apparently if you import books ( and I have a rather large collection ) an Egyptian Official has to read them all from cover to cover to ensure nothing untoward is brought into the country, I say apparently because there seems to be a lot of contradictory information out there about what non-Egyptians can and cant do.

Jeff.
