You're welcome Debbie. If you need any help finding your way around just give me a shout. While you're waiting for the info, why don't you have a look at the Introductions thread: http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...ctions-45.html read about us all and maybe introduce yourself. Everyone here is very friendly and you'll soon feel part of the family!
There's a few threads on Sharm too - probably not on the first page though. If you can't find them, let me know.
Linda

Hi all - still hot hot hot. We bumped into Lyn and Ryan last night - they were having dinner at the Marriott Teppanyaki as well - wonderful food. They are here for 3 weeks and are having to stay at the Rosetta. It has been lovely meeting up with some of our neighbours and fellow Sharmers.

Hi Debbie - I know someone is selling a 1 bed on Sharm Bride ( next door to Sierra ) - dont know when it is meant to be complete though. There are also a few that are ready now on Sharm Residence which is also in Nabq. I have contacts of private sellers because I was looking for a fella who drinks in our local. There was a 2 bed fully furnished and a couple of others as well.

Paul bought the wrong batteries for my camera - I have re charged mine and hope they hold out to be able to take a few videos and pics can then be taken on Pauls as he pof course bought loads of batteries ( diff type to mine ) for his camera!! Typical bloke!!

If I dont get chance to update tomorrow I will post on Sunday / Monday.

Take care all xxx

Well Alison, I think that's below the belt - typical bloke! At least he went and bought the batteries for you! Let's hope you manage to get a few pics before the batteries go.

keep cool

Hi Iain - no he bought the batteries for his not mine!!
Went on site and we did not have alot of time as the consultant from SRE had to get back to Naama to meet another client. Although we felt rushed we have taken quite a few pics and vids. Without having my notes with me Im sure your block Iain ( 20 something?? ) was where they are now starting to concrete the pool and mark out around the pool for landscaping and this area was looking good. Our area was cleared since Sunday and the tiles have started to be laid around the top edge of the pool so assume they will be concreting the inside next then tiling it.
We were pleased with our apartment which is more or less finished and will be ready soon to start measuring up for furniture. All tiles were laid, bath and shower in, sink and loo and plumbing for washing machine, all walls plastered and painted and doors on. Paul said the front door looked a good one - fire door. It needs a good clean and the balcony and garden still need work as does the entrance into the building. They said our phase pool and landscaping - ( think this is Tonys one as well number 35?? ) will be ready in about a month. Paul is in the building trade and he agreed that they should get it done in a month no problem.
Again from memory if Tony yours was number 35 and you asked to check the configuration this is now a 3 bedroom.
We were really pleased with what we saw and there were loads of workers on site. Everything is looking promising for everyone. John Williams I believe is already living in his apartment. There were 3 security guards on duty both times we went and they were patrolling the 1st phase.
Our apartment is now locked up which is a good sign.
I will make further reports on Sun / Mon with pics but I just wanted you all to know that we are now beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.
We walked up to La Strada and Al Khan malls from the front of Sierra and it was a 15 min walk. We were very impressed with this area and the shops etc. There is a lovely bar called Malibu above Mc Ds and it has a lovely view over the sea - in here is also a very nice restaurant. A little further along is another new bar called the Zone Lounge which again looked very nice.
We have just come back from go karting in Hadaba and yes they all lapped me again and again!! But we had fun. It seems even hotter today as there is not alot of wind and there are alot of lobsters about!!
Anyway speak soon xxx
