They have offered us now No. 30C1 (not sure why this was not available the other day!!!), Anyway our concern is that it is on the edge of the resort and google earth does not show completed buildings to the right of Sierra (if you were stood at the sierra hotel). Basically we would be on the end (at the corner) but on the left hand side of the block. Can anyone confirm if you are stood on the right hand side of the complex (in the second block what is next door) and what will the view be like from the roof terrace.

Please help we need to make a decision overnight. However, SRS promised to put the Euros back in my bank and I am NOT happy about this because the bank will absolutely sting me on the rate and I will lose money big time.

Thanks in advance.

Louise
Hi,
With ref to appt 30C1, as far as we were aware there was nothing being built directly behind this appt at the time of our visit in jan and the view as far as we can remember was of the mountains. Obviously as you are aware things change quickly and we have not been out since Jan and have had no update of our appt apart from this forum. We find it difficult to beleive anybody would be dissapointed in buying anywhere on the sierra resort, but can understand how dissapointed you must be feeling.
Sorry we cant be off any more help, and we wish you luck in whatever your decision is.
Kind Regards
Wayne and Fee

Credit crunch and all that.
We have had contact from Tarek the developer who thinks our apt may be nearly ready and hopes to confirm it when he returns to his office on the 14th August. Our son goes out for a week and is going to do a recce for us which Tarek has said he is happy to arrange. We have not been so lucky with the solicitor in responding to our emails regarding our contract so we are still unsure where we are in the system. SRE are a bit quiet as well at the moment.
If the apt is ready we intend to collect 17C2 on the 25th Sept and chuck in a few days diving as well.

HI all,

It seems that most of us all were advised we would be better off purchasing the furniture package if we intended to rent out the apartments throught the hotel. It seems like it might not be the matter at all and I am sure the hotel will be happy to make money on the beutifully furnished apartments by idea4furniture. Although we have not actually touched them they look nice, more modern and everyone reports they are good quality and cheeper. So at the last minute we decided to go ahead with it.
I am sure John and Dawn will also be happy with their choice too. Congratulations to all who have completed. I hope to be joining you very soon.

Default Thank you

Thanks guys for all your help (especially alison who helped heaps this morning). Well the seller of 57 has refused to sell because he learned that the prices increase on Friday. This made me fuming because apparently SRS are in receipt of a signed contract from him stating that he would sell - we too had signed and transferred all our money.

Well he is holding firm and will definately not sell - I suggested SRS stumped up the 10% increase because they should not be receiving monies from overseas for properties that are not for sale in the first place!!!! they never answered this question.

They then offered me a 3 bedroom for £75K !!!?????

So now they say 30C1 is definately reserved for us definitely definitely and is ours. Sadly I cannot get excited about this because I am worried it will all fall through again. I would hope to feel satisfied when I get the money transfer contract - but then I already got that for 57 and that didnt offer me any security.

Well hopefully in a week I will have forgotten all about this saga and will be looking forward to going out there for a look in October.

thanks again for your help and I look forward to meeting all the neighbours.

Lou

Hi Lou - its not on that the seller can do this. At the end of the day they may lose out as more become available as re sales so he will have more competition and may end up not selling it for a while?? Some do get greedy. Bet he has already made in excess of 15K on it anyway.
Still we live and learn and you certainly have.

Glad I was of sone help this morning - in between getting ready for work!!

Fingers crossed this one is yours xxxx

Hi all,

if anyone is going out before October, please can you take some pictures of the pool area near block 30 - havent managed to get a glimpse of the pool yet.

Also if you get time, pop up to 30C1 and check all is going OK up there.

Thanks.
