Alison - your furniture looks brill. We placed our order with Mostafa last week and he's planning to get it ready for the end of October so that he can furnish the apartments after handover early November if everything goes to plan!

Don't yet know the procedure for choosing fabrics etc from the UK but presumably that will come clear when the contracts are drawn up. So glad we found this forum!

Bet you cant wait! Im trying to find a flight out from Gatwick this weekend for a week and typical all the ones I am finding are later or for 2 weeks!

HI Alison, you apparment looks fantastic, thank you for sharing the pictures with us. I bet you can not wait to test it!
We have just sent our deposit to Mostafa. Did you have a single and a double bed fitted or is it just an ilusion?
We have been trying every day for the last week to get a reply from Tarek Re: handover procedure but no responce? Have you got any different contact details for him?
Did you or anyone get any penality charges deducted from your maintainance fee for the late handover? Our contract stated 31st of March

Thankyou Kamila

No cant wait - cant get flights tho!!

In the bedroom it is 2 singles. We went for the full headboard so the cabinet can be moved and the beds can be oushed to gether to make a double if needed. This we felt may be better for families with children. The sofa pulls out to a double and the L shape under the window can be used as an overflow single.

Do you mean Tarek the developer or the Agent?

Ref late penalties - it depends when you signed your contract. Eg if you signed it last October with a delivery date of March and it is delivered Aug then no. Basically it will be 18 months from when you 1st signed the contract to handover for late penalties to be paid.

Hi Alison,

It is a devil to get a last minute flight and the prices are astronomical. I am waiting for Thomson fly to start the sale from Stansted in November to pre-book a few flights. Good luck, I hope you get something.

At last I got the reply from Nabq office. I only knew Tarek from SRE. We signed the contract in April last year and the penalities meant to kick in from 31st March so I am hoping for a few hundred pounds back.

We also went for the full headboard in our bedroom, asked for three seater sofabed and a table in the dining area as it might be easier with kids. Although we loved your breakfast bar. It is so lovely to see the swimming pool filled up. I hope the water temperature is going to be comfortable in witer time too. Can not wait to get there too.

Excellent well done Alison!
If you would not mind could you have a good look at my apartment as I will be signing handover without seen it. It would be great to have some feed back in case there is something major to be done.
Many thanks and have a lovely time. See you soon hopefully.
