Morning Stu and Chelle, welcome aboard! Congratulations on your purchase, Queenie will be really pleased to have another Sharmer on the forum and no doubt she'll get in touch soon. We'd all love to see some pics when you can post them, meantime it would be great if you could introduce yourselves on the Introductions thread at the top of page 1 so we can all meet you. It's not obligatory
Best wishes
Linda

Hi Stu and Chelle

Im so excited that I have a new neighbour. We are number 40A2. We bought last October and the prices have risen twice since then so you are making a great investment - we have made 10k since Oct on ours.
Khaled is lovely isnt he.

I have got so many ??? and its lovely to have a neighbour to chat to and get excited with - right here we go
What floor have you bought on
Have you any children
What handover date have you been given
Are you taking the furniture package
Have you been to El Tor to get your residents / multi entry visa and POA
Have you got your lawyer yet

Sorry for all ?? but it is great to have another Sharmer on board.

Please dont hesitate to ask me anything.
You may find this link useful on legal matters http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...rty-egypt.html
and this one about who has bought in Sharm http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...ing-sharm.html

Again welcome from myself and my family.

Alison

Default hello

Hi Alison,
Our flat is 49B1...middle floor, our handover is supposed to be the end of September.
About us...Stu is a plumber & i am a purchasing office supervisor,we both work for Swindon Council,
We have 3 children,Steven 26,Donna 24 & Stacey who is 15,Donna made us grandparents 2yrs ago by given us a gorgeous little grandson called Jake.
We are going to London to sort all our paperwork out on April 17th,our lawyer in Sharm is Zeiad Yehia....as soon as we have done all the paperwork here we will send it back to him & wait to hear what happens next.
We choose the furniture package as we don't have time to return to Sharm on a regular basis because of work & we may well go down the route of renting the flat out through the hotel. Are you going to live in yours?
Best wishes
Chelle & Stu

Hi thanks for the pics and the intro. The pics are great and the complex has really come along in leaps and bounds. We 1st visited the site in October and I went back Nov / Dec. I hear that there are lots of workers on site and the developer is trying to get quite a few phases completed by the end of May. Ours was meant to be March but could be either end April or May fingers crossed. We also have 3 kids Cerian who is nearly 24, PJ 19 ( gave us a gorg grandson Mason who is 2 - yes he did start very young and made me a granny at 40 LOL ) and Amy who is 15 in Aug. Will be great if we are out there the same time as the girls could hang out together and wander down to Mc Donalds with their laptops ( free WIFI there ) to chat to their mates back home on MSN. On the plans in the SRE brochure we are in he block numbered 5 and I think you are number 7. How strange as 49A1 was the one we chose originally but changed to 40 due to earlier completion date. I thought Khaked had left as his photo is no longer on their website.
I believe that it is mostly British that have bought on the complex and have been in touch with quite a few including my neighbours upstairs and some in the block next door and opposite. Your pool looks a really good size - ours isnt that big but the beauty of this development is that you can use any of the 10 pools. The main reception and shopping mall area have come along as well. I think that they are concentrating on the apaprtments for the time being and not working on the hotel rooms as they are waiting for approval from the government for another 60 rooms - they have approval for 180 at the moment.
I managed to get to El Tor in October and got my residency / multi entry visa and POA then - really easy. Zeaid is also our lawyer and he is great and really knows his stuff.
Do you know why Khaked left and where he has gone - I only have his works email and would like to contact him.
Take care and heres to a few beers round the pool soon.

Alison
