Hi Kamila - yes got flight for £330 in the end. It was actually cheaper going 14 nights but couldnt do it - not that rotten to leave hubby at home in the cold for too long!!
Yes I will have loads of time of my hands as I will be on my own and will be staying in my apartment on site so will be able to take note of all details. I will take a pad with me as well. Without looking at prev posts Kamila - are you expecting yours to be furnished by SRE or will it be empty??

Hi Tony no probs - I will see what the state of play is in yours as well and see if I can get updates on furniture etc for you.

Also ( I know this is sad but it is important to me!! ) does anyone want me to see the position of sun around their pools and in the gardens if applicable at different times of day eg mid morning, midday, mid afternoon etc. Let me know if you do.

Hi Alison, lucky lucky you. If you have time, some piccies of our pool area 30C1 and also any internal work if you can. The tiling in the photo that we were sent looked bloody awful on the walls but it wasnt finished or grouted. Hopefully it will be grouted now and looking a little better!! Also if you can ask if they do expect to be able to hand over when we are there in October would be good too. Also (and only if you get time) a vid of the view from the roof terrace if possible.

Dont worry if you dont get time - we want you to have a little bit of a holiday - although surely it was hubbies turn to go this time ha ha.

Hi Lou - no probs - Iain and I hopefully will be able to meet up and go round together. Yes If I can get up on the roof I will video the view for you. I will try and upload them onto youtube when I am there. I made friends with the owner of the internet cafe and he is my ' friend ' now on facebook so hoping for a decent discount lol xx

Hi Alison

You lucky bugger!

If you or Iain could manage photos of inside and out of 23 B1&B2 + any extras of the pool, sun positioning, camels etc or anything else you think would help that would be excellent.

Also when you see Mostafa if he's got any samples of fabrics and colours for the soft furnishings he could put on his website or email us that would be really helpful.

We'll think of you in the sun while we're all developing our web feet, but I suppose they'll come in handy for the Red Sea!!

Hi Robn and Jane - no probs. I need to find out if the free internet access is available. If it is then I will take my laptop and be in my glory.

Just been to the shops and got my policemans style notebook!

I will see if Mostafa has any fabric samples he will let me take away with me and when I get back I will post them to you.

I will also make a note of the elec I am using and try to work out roughly how much it is costing daily. xx

Hi Alison, you are so organised, you should get a job with SRE and things would be much smoother. Many thanks for agreeing to do a viewing for us. We will let SRE know you will be coming. We have instructed Mostafa to furnish our pad but I do not think he will get it done before the end of September. Just out of interest, can we ask Mostafa to get our apartment cleaned up for us? I do not know what state it will be in when SRE hands it over. Just thinking it would be lovely not to have to do anything when I arrive late at night with my friend and two young kids.
I do hope to meet you and personally thank you in October, I seem to remember our holidays will be overlaping. Lots of people were using wireless at McDonalds in Naama, mayby there is one in Nabq too?

Hi Kamila - no problem - I really enjoyed taking pics and vids last month. Yes there is Wifi at Mc D's in Al Khan in Nabq. I was hoping it was connected so I could use it in the apartment to while away the eve hours on my own without having to carry it everywhere. The internet cafe in La Strada charges 30le per hour so can get expensive when the pics and vids take an age to upload.

When I went for my handover last month I asked the site engineer to get a couple of the workers to run through with the broom and clean the sink out and mop the floors and gave them a couple of quid. Im sure Mostafa would have given it another clean though because there would have been mess from fitting the kitchen and aircons. I will be able to tell next week. I am prepared for cleaning duty tho. There were some over lap paint marks / grout marks on the floor that will come off with a good clean which is what I am expecting to have to do. As I say once I see it I will be able to tell and also whether Mostafa cleaned the windows. Im sure I did ask Mostafa to give it a good post construction clean for me. Cant see them fitting brand new furniture into a dirty dusty empty shell???

I dont know if I mentioned this before but what I did notice last month was that there were alot of ants climbing up the corner wall in my bathroom. I am going to get some of those ant trap things and take a few with me. Im sure they sell something there anyway but best to be fore armed!!

We are out 7th til eve of 21st in October and if we are there the same time would love to meet for a few drinks and a bite to eat.

BTW did you know there is a Camilla & Co in Sharm lol xxx
