Hi Alison & Iain

Thank you so much for all the photos - really appreciated. Must say we're feeling very confused though because we'd been told they were finished!!

Hi Darren - yes had a bad hangover!! But that shows what a good time I had lol. Iain came round the next day and also said what a great eve he had as well. My Egyptian friend ameno came round last night and went to St Georges and it was dead and sooooo hot in there. We had one and had to leave. No one else in there. Then went to Pottery cafe and had a nice cheap meal - went to Baccrus and bought a bottle of whiskey and just ordered our meal and cokes and had another few too many!!! It was great as didnt have to walk back as Amenos friend picked us up. Make friends with Egyptians, they will look after you and you have friends for life. Out with Iain for another session tonight meeting Zeiad. Glad my hubby is not a member of any forums lol xx
Glad you got home safe and sound. We will have to start planning the big pool party for next June. Anyone up for it??

Hi Robin and Jane - you are very welcome. TBH most that we saw were very nearly there and alot were at the same stage. Just finishing off. They may do a mad dash for the finishing line when they know buyers are flying out for handover. They done this for us and when we arrived my hubby said it was like 60 min makeover and we must have had at least a dozen workers in our apartment.

If you have been given a handover date and are planning on flying over I would email Tarek the developerto let him know that you have / are planning flights and will t defo be ready for handover.

Went to Churchills Cafe up the road for brekkie today - hangover cure, fried egg, pork sausage and bacon, bubble, baked beans, toast and tea 40le. Run by Brit bloke from Bexley Heath and his son. Really nice chap.

He is renting a villa on Oriental and fell off the ladder changing the light blb and was knocked out and had to go to the Pyramid hospital. He had to stay for 6 days and said he doesnt remember anything in the hospital but his son said the hosp was awful. All his face has mouth has dropped to on side and I said he must have damaged the nerves poor fella. He has been out here for a yr and he said best thing he has ever done and loves his new life here.

Well must go as the cocktails are a calling xxx

Many many thanks for the photos. It was great to actually see what we have bought at last. I think you are right there will be a massive attack on the apt before we arrive on the 25th to get it finished, cant wait. Give our regards to Zeiad we will be meeting him on the 26th.

Thanks again for giving up your time to keep us off the Gaviscon and Valium. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Hiya glad you guys are having a great time and Ian thanks so much for the pictures. What I find really strange is the order in which they do the work. How can they bare all that crap falling into the bath. If we fitted a bath at home it would be spotless, its quite scary really. From the looks of it, it looks like the bathroom will be trashed before its even finished but from looking at Alisons finished apartment you know that that will not be the case (or at least we hope!!) I do hope they fix all the broken tiles in the bathrooms. Alison, did yours look like this before they finished the apartment??

Thanks again - I am not very hopeful tho that we will have hand over in October when we are out there but we shall see!!

Carry on enjoying yourselves, you can tell the other halfs it was all "work" when you get home, we wont tell!!!

June pool party sounds like a very good idea just name the dates!!

Well provided we have a bathroom by then!! If not whose loo can I borrow???

Lou

Hi Lou, When we visited Oasis Resort, we, particularly my husband who is a builder himself, were shocked and quite worried about the order of works, rather lack of it. It is very odd that they will tile a room that has no floor in and tile floors that has no plaster on the walls! They seem insistant on causing more work for themselves. But we were reassurred that all will be ok in the end and, judging by Alisons photo's, this does seem to be the case. It is puzzling though

I've been to the Sierra 4 times this year and it amazes me how much hard work they seem to cause themselves, but I have now seen quite a few completed apartments and they all seem to be finished to a high standard.

The one thing that I find really funny is one of the first things they do is put marble on the stairs then carry everything over it for the next few months ??

I will definetly be over there next June so am I invited even if my apartments not finished ???

If not then I will just gate crash !!!

Enjoy the rest of your holiday Queenie and please pass on my regards to Ziead.
