Hello there Alison and Iain. A big thank you for all your efforts and the pics posted. there's not a great deal to see of our block, 65, but at least we now know it's underway.

Alison could you do me a favour and if you see Mostafa from Idea4furniture ask him if he received the email I sent on the 22nd. I've had no reply as yet. Also did he supply your air con units.

Thanks in advance

Jeff

P.S. leave some of the drink for us poor lot back here in the UK who can't get out there just yet!!!!!!!

Hi Allison/iain
Thank you very much for taking pictures of our appartment ( 25a1) these are a welcome relief as to the progress of our investment . We also are suppriesed at how they work backwards and ake more work for themselves. We are very excited about the progress that has been made since Jan when we last there.(would have been nice to see it with windows though !)

I it possible for you to get any pictures of the inside of 3b 1 + 2 as our freinds Mr & Mrs Rule are very concerned about the progress with their appartment since they were one of the first to buy on Sierra, when there are so many others that have already been handed over. They have not had any responce from the developer and not much more from SRE. They are starting to get very anxious about the whole situation , so any info would be greatly recieved.

We are pleased that you guys are having a great time.
Many thanks
Wayne & Fee

Hi all

Thanks for the pics Queenie the resort looks like it has come on leaps and bounds since i was last out in March. Im flying out next Wed the 10th so hopefully my apartment will be ready for handover.

Queenie, I see you took pics of apartment 17C2, did u see if they had started work furnishing apartment 17B2 yet?

Really looking forward to seeing the complex carnt wait to go out!

I wondered does anyone know how easy it is to set up a bank account out there?

And also has anyone purchased the SRE furniture package? If so do you know when the final installment of £2000 needs to be paid by as I havnt yet been able to get a response from the agent?

I am in the process of sending off the maintance payment of £1500 this week along with £1000 installment for the furniture.

James

Hi everybody

I was there last week and block 3 has been finished for quite a while now and i'm certain that somebody is already living in this block so can't understand why it has not yet been handed over.

I would certainally get Mr. & Mrs.Rule to phone Tarek about this.

Setting up a bank account is really easy, I set mine up with the HSBC (opposite La Strada) just go in with your passport and open your account, your card will be ready for you in about 5 days.

Hi Wayne and Fee - all along the 1st phase looks finished. I will have a look this morning but I have a feeling it will all be locked up. If it is I will catch the site engineer and see if he can let me in or I will Skype SRE for them and try and find out what the score is. Do you know if they have got the furniture from SRE if they have I will be able to tell from the outside because there will be curtains up and air con on the balcony.

I might even email the new general manager and see what he has to say as well xx

Hi James - SRE thought that I as taking their package and they wanted all the money for the furnishings at least 15 days before the handover to order. To be honest I cant see how they could order and install within 15 days. I saw one that was furnished by SRE last night and lets just say it was a half job. Their package doesnt come with mattresses or bedding either so you would need to arrange that as well.

When I was out here for handover last month I snagged the apartment before handing over the maintenance and the water / electric meter fees. Once I had paid all these they gave me the keys which I could then pass onto Mostafa so he could start installing the furniture. To be honest I would send them the furniture fees and then pay maintenance and water / elec once you have seen the completed apartment. Dont forget you are paying maintenance for things like cleaning of your pool ( yours is still green and not landscapped in anyway and you cannot sit out there yet ) lighting of communal areas which there isnt any in that zone yet - there is none of the roof terraces on that zone either yet ) . So I would just hang on to it until you get out here. There is another couple staying in their apartment in the same zone but no way is it completed. Things that have been fitted they think are temp and are hoping to be replaced??

I will also Skype SRE for you and I will ask them to urgently answer your questions or send you an email with clarification.

Hi Alison.

Colin & Karen Rule are not having a furniture package from anyone and want to furnish it themselves, but because they have not had any communication from SRE or developer about handover have not been able to arrange to go to sierra etc. They have bought the whole middle floor and were having the layout reconfigured, that was in january 08! and it appears nothing has happened as i understand it they were having the layout the same as apartment 5.

As we have said before any information would be greatly received.

Kind Regards

Wayne & Fee

Hi Wayne and Fee - thought I would make an early start and I am sweating buckets already - I have taken a couple of pics of the outside and will post on return or if I go up to Starbucks later. Noticed that it isnt furnished but certainly looks done. I tried to get in and it is all locked up which is a good sign. Some of the windows are open and one of the patio doors. You can clearly see it has been plastered and painted and the smoke alarms have been fitted. Pretty sure there was only one front door which is also a good sign and seems that it has been configured correctly but without going inside I cant give more accurate info. I will try and gain access for them later when I see site engineer or General Manager.

James - came back from a rest as had to take pics and vids of 4 other apartments. I think I should be on danger money!! Up and down these stairs is seriously hard work and I started at 9ish. Hope those on the top are fit if not start going to the gym lol.

Yours is next on the list James - I might not be able to post pics til later but will certainly give you a run down of what I have seen in a couple of hours xx

Right just to rub it in Im gonna have a nice dip in the cold pool. Think I deserved it tho lol.
