Hi Wayne and Fee and James I have this morning spoken to the new General Manager and asked him to contact you James via email and Mr and Mrs Rule - theirs does look like it is one apartment from the outside as opposed to 2.

Hiya, I notice from some of Iains photos of apartment 22 (I think) that it has really nice coving being done and a nice ceiling edge.

Is this standard or something special this owner is having done??

Thanks in advance.

Hi Lou - I think they did start this and then decided not to go ahead I think due to the cost. Iain is the lucky one who has it but I sure he is paying extra for it x

Thanks for your help Queenie.

Just to let you know I received an email on the 2nd Sept to say they have received my £2500 towards furniture and maintenance. I have emailed them again regarding the progress of the apartment but im still not getting a response! Fearing the worst!

I would however rather them take there time than do a rush job but I cannot understand how they have been unable to furnish it when SRE told me it would be ready in July! plus I was told in april if I paid the deposit of £2000 for the furniture which I did within a few weeks the sooner it would be completed!

Oh well if its ready for handover or not next week Im going to have a good time in the sun!

James

Hi - yes indeed the coving was already partly done and I will pay more to have it finished.

It seems that this building was one of the very first to be built and I can only guess that they partly set it up as some sort of "show" appt.

I have not seen the coving elsewhere and they were going to rip it out, but a stwo bedroom ceilings were done already it seemed rather counter productive just to tear it out.

They have agreed therefore to finish the bit of ceiling that needs it (about half the living area), and they will charge me.

There are complications having this, for example where the tiles are in the kitchen area that go up to the ceiling, it is going to need a bit of skill to stop the coving in the right way.

I imagine that they just decided it was too much hassle and dropped the idea right at the beginning.

Iain
