BTW I asked Mostafa about the fabric samples and he said he would give me some to bring home - then we both forgot. If anyone still needs then I will be back over in 4 weeks or Jeff may do the honours as he is out soon xx

I have a vid of my apartment - cant remember but someone asked me to vid the kitchen so again will upload it soon xx
Hi Kamila,

I have just checked my list which you were certainly on, but sorry to say somehow I missed you. I know we did not go into your phase even though it looked in very good order. From what I remember there were a couple of people sunbathing and it looked very peaceful.

So apologies for that - we did double check but by the end I think we were both halucinating!

Actually - although it was very hot I walked the 2 miles from my hotel to the site a couple of times and though it was hard work it was manageable. I'm not too good in the heat but humidity was about 30% when we were there and there was a fairly good breeze. In the complex the breeze does get lost a little and certainly climbing up to top floor was very hot work indeed.

Hope someone else can get you pics shortly.

Iain

If you feel like meeting for a beer or coffee sometime while you are there and we can share our joys and woes of property buying in paradise then let us know what would suit you and we will see if we can arrange it.

Any other purchasers who may be in Sharm over the next fortnight who would like to meet would be more than welcome, after all we will shortly be neighbours of a sort.
Hi Jeff, im staying at the kharamana in naama, its just me travelling this time so yes it would be good to meet up at some point. Whereabouts r u stayin? Im not taking my mobile though with me as I lost one in the back of a taxi i think outside the Sierra in march! and the last one i had stolen a couple of months ago! So I dont no how i can get in touch, do they do phone cards over there?

A couple of questions does anyone know when our apartments will be ready to rent out? Also has anyone decided what management compaines they are using to manage there apartment?

Queenie - have you been in touch with anyone from SRE recently? I still havnt had a reply from SRE so im guessing they are just ignoring me! I have paid the majority of the money on the apartment well i only owe £500 for the furniture + maintenance and elec/ water, but they havnt said if they want all the money up front else I would have paid it along time ago. If they want it i will pay it when im over there, my contract stimpulates that I pay £1000 for the furniture on hand over so I have already paid more than what im contracted to pay at this point in time! So god knows whats going on!

James

Default Mustafa's details

Hi Alison/ and all

gosh it seems like ages since i have been on here and so much has happened!!!!

we are 'hopefully' completing this month and are trying to scour the net for decently priced flights!!!

Does anyone have any contact details for Mustafa please as we would like to try to arrange to get him to meet us at our apartment to measure up for us when we get out there and then leave the keys with SRE for him to come back and fit things :-)

is this the right way to go about this do you think???? looks like i may only get a week off work in order to get it all done!!!!

Help!!!

Anita

Alison, Thank you so much for taking time out to take pics of ours. The pool looks fab and kids cant wait to get in it...
Have had a reply from Tarek confirming that the prop was ready, however, it has not been configured as per the paperwork completed and signed by Colin , myself and Tarek from SRE back in January, and therefore waiting to hear how this is going to be resolved. No one seems that keen on coming forward with information and resolutions. How do you think we should handle this? I only ask as you seem to be very helpful and have built up good relationships with all concerned. Any help and advice would be gratefully received. Thank you. x Karen

Hi Anita - yes good job flights werent booked!

Hi Colin and Karen I personally would contact Tarek the developer direct. Point out to him that yours should have had handover a long time ago as you are on the 1st phase and would appreciate an update from him ref the configuration with realistic times for handover. I would point out that you are disappointed in not being kept in the lopp etc. When was your handover date in your contract and when did you sign it??

The pool was fab and it is bigger than what it looks like in the pics.

Hi Alison, thanks for the video, needless to say not much seems to have happened since I left and difficult to get a response from anybody. i think as more and more get to the point of handover, they respond to who shouts loudest. Trying not to get too frustrated but it's just so annoying when they seem to just forget you as soon as you're over the sand dune!

At least there were no expletives as you walked up our stairs on the video this time!

Believe it or not I send you this from the bowels of the Royal Albert Hall - I really get to see all the best places....

Default Maintenance Fee - Late Penalties

Hi Anita

It might be worth checking with the developer that he tops up the maintenance fee pot if he is giving everyone money off the maintenance fee payment this means that the pot will be smaller than expected and will affect other residents.

The more people that mention this the better, I know its good that you have to pay less but its not good in the long run if there is not enough money in the maintenance pot and the developer is not out of pocket - what do others think on this?

Lou
