He said the staff on site were very friendly and helpful. Unlike the Russians who are buying whole blocks for cash and causing Mr Alaa major headaches. Enough that they are offering to buy the apts back to get rid. Apparantly a 27year old lady bought a block for cash and has become very Diva'ish with her demands.
We got caught up in the XL thing and have had to re book from the our original date on the 25th. First Choice were great and have taken the ATOL claim on our behalf. Fingers crossed that Thomas Cook dont go under as well.

Thanks for that John and Dawn - yes a couple of pics PM'd would be great but don't worry unduly, I guess I'll just have to be patient re progress.

Sorry to hear about your XL problems but glad you seem to have been able to find a solution, I saw some interviews with peoplw who came back from Sharm with Monarch and they had been reaaly upset not knowing what would happen to them especially if the money ran out. Not much fun if it's your one holiday of the year.

anyway good luck and have an enjoyable visit.

The furniture package is simply a way of several people making a little extra money for themselves. We have managed to furnish our apartment for much less than the cost of the package with much better quality furniture including the fully fitted kitchen with all appliances.

Hi, we bought 9C2 and handover took place in July. We flew over for a week and spent the whole time having had to sort out many problems. Fortunately my husband is Egyptian so we had lots of help and co-operation from everyone. I think he should set up a company to sort out handover and snagging lists.

We left feeling happy and will be returning this Saturday to have our kitchen fitted and the rest of our furniture delivered.

We live in London and also have 3 children. We fly to Egypt whenever we find cheap deals and have also bought in Hurghada and that flat will be ready in December.

We have bought all our own furniture and kitchen and my husband would be able to give you some contacts if you are interested.

Hi Fabio and welcome, we are next door to you - ground floor in building 22 - nice to have some Italian neighbours.

For furniture some of us have used Mostafa from Idea4furniture email - info@idea4furniture there is also a website under development but if you search idea4furniture in google you will find pictures and videos.

The furniture is good quality with an Egyptian flavour to the design - not necessarily top Italian design quality! But worth a look. Mostafa is a good guy. He also fits kitchens and aircon.

Alsion (queenie40something) had also used him and just moved into her appt.

There are other furniture people but I don't have any experience with them. Idea4furniture is next to the Sierra site on the corner.

best wishes

Iain

Sofie

our apartment 65B is in the early stages of construction with a hand over date of April '09. We would be interested in any contacts you have regarding furnishing etc. Are your sources local to Sharm.

Hi Fabio and welcome to yet another buyer on Sierra. Yes I used Mostafa at Idea4furniture and was very pleased. You can find details in the furniture thread and here are some pics of my furnished apartment queenie40something/My apartment in Sharm - Page 1 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

He done everything for me from air con, kitchen, appliances, furniture, bed linen, tv etc etc. I decided that I wanted one person to do the whole lotinstead of dealing with various people. I bought it as a complete package including delivery and installation and everything was completed on time. Everything is good quality with solid kitchen units, wardrobes etc.
