The furniture is good quality with an Egyptian flavour to the design - not necessarily top Italian design quality! But worth a look. Mostafa is a good guy. He also fits kitchens and aircon.

Alsion (queenie40something) had also used him and just moved into her appt.

There are other furniture people but I don't have any experience with them. Idea4furniture is next to the Sierra site on the corner.

best wishes
Iain

Thanks for info and nice to meet you!
I checked the Idea4furniture furniture website, it seems good.
I'm waiting the neutraized contract from my lawyer Mr Abbas since last March (lawyer suggested me by Sharm el shaikh real estate - do you know Mr Abbas?) and then I'll move in probably next November.
Bye

He done everything for me from air con, kitchen, appliances, furniture, bed linen, tv etc etc. I decided that I wanted one person to do the whole lotinstead of dealing with various people. I bought it as a complete package including delivery and installation and everything was completed on time. Everything is good quality with solid kitchen units, wardrobes etc.

Thanks!

I looked pics of your furnished apartment, it's beautiful!

Hi Fabio, I don't know Mr Abbas but I'm sure if SSRE recommended him he should be fine. If you have any concerns speak to Zeiad Yehia or indeed SSRE.

Maybe someone else on the forum knows Mr abbas,

Iain

Thanks Fabio - yes we were very pleased with the work he carried out. I stayed in in a couple of weeks ago for a test run and will be back in 3 weeks for our 1st family stay in it and really looking forward to it.

I have heard of your lawyer who I understand is very well respected. I would however suggest that you chase him up if you gave him the contracts a while ago. The process that he follows takes about 6 months from when he has your signed contract ( signed by you and the developer )

Hi Fabio and Sofie

Welcome to the forum. It is so nice to see so many new owners joining the forum. Thanks to the pioneers it is getting so much easier to get everything organised. I have also dealt with idea 4furniture on Alison's recommendation and should see the fruit of their work in two weeks. I found Mostafa really professional and SRE are happy to deal with him. I had a look at the alternative furniture during my stay in January but decided it was not worth the hassle. Unless you are looking for an expensive Italian furniture for the flat you would be living in. Besides, the cost of travel, accomodation and time it takes to coordinate the deliveries and instalation is not cost effective.

I will be taking pictures in October and will post any video on you tube but will not be able to climb up any buildings that are hazardous as my belly is growing big and my balace is not that good. Hope to meet a few residents!

Regards,
Kamila

Hi Kamibo

After the XL disater we have just managed to re-book our flights and are out in Sharm on Oct 27th until Nov 6th.

If you or any other people from the forum are out there between these dates and would like to meet up for a chat and a beer it would be great to see you.

We are Darren - Amanda & Ali (13) and have purchased 62 C1&2, just heard that the person who has purchased 62 B1&2 is no other than Tarek from Sharm Real Estate, just got to figure how to keep him off our roof terrace.

Iain just let me know if you need any photos or videos.

Regards

Hi guys just had a quick question with regards to the roof terraces. Is it OK to have a gate to make it private?? I was wondering this because the roof terrace is not really mentioned that well in the contract to the top floor apartments. Have others had this amended in their contract. I know we have the right to enjoy it but not build but it doesnt say the right privately????

Thanks for your help.

Lou

Hi lou

There was quite abit of controversy about this at first, but the developer really is trying to get it sorted out in the best interests of the people who have bought the top floor.

They are allowing gates ( sent you a pic ) but will not allow any solid doors, we will have ours slightly higher on the side than shown in the photo I have sent.

The upsetting thing is at the moment they will not allow any permanant fixtures on the roof terrace, we spent a lovely evening on a different complex having a BBQ under a fixed gazebo.

So at the moment its just a table and umberella i'm afraid

Thanks for that, puts my mind at rest a little. We only went for the 1 bedder cause we had the extra outside space on the roof. We will put a gate up. We are happy with table and chairs and a few cushions and candles I just didnt like the idea of anyone wandering up and using it as and when they felt like it. A BBQ sounds like a nice idea (although not a fixed one!!) and a gazebo would have been the business!

Do you know if you need to get permission for the gates for each apartment?

Also has anyone heard any more about the residents association?

thanks.

Lou

Hi Darren

we have been told they are painting our appt and it should be ready in 10 days. we will see. thanks for the offer of pics - will advise nearer the time, Joanna may be out when you are there but struggling to find decent flights.

was reading the evening standard and see that oil prrices are plumetting so some good may come of this financial mess - oil 40% down on its highest.

I'm multi tasking in my car (yes girls we CAN multitask) posting here, listening to Liverpool beating Marseille, and waiting for my clients to come out as well as eating a bar of chocolate - does that count?

Sorry about the waffle you can tell I'm bored and found a wifi hot spot free.

take care
Iain
