I am absolutely gagging to see it (ive only watched your videos about 100 times!!!!) Trouble is, its at the end of the holiday and ive got a feeling I am gonna be wishing the whole holiday away waiting for the end!! We have got a few days afterwards tho.

It will kill me for stew to go back at Christmas and see it all done but trouble is he has to take a week unpaid at Christmas so for him its the ideal time to go. I will be seriously gutted tho - especially as he is totally the kinda person to rub it in thick and not let me down gently!!!

At least I can look forward to the maldives in January - perhaps I should leave him behind

HI all,

Good news, my apartment is ready! I am so excited, packed and setting off on Tuesday. Mostafa worked so hard I am just full of praises for him. He had a day to do all the hard work fitting instalations and the kitchen. I am taking Marigolds etc, to finish things if necessarly.

Thanks Alison again for your offer and hope to meet you on the 7th. I will take lots of pictures for everyone. Glen and I wil try to join you all for the party in June.

Kamila

Has anyone used Abbas El Bahrawy as their solicitor? We've emailed him several times but had no response and have also asked SRE to ask him to contact us but no luck!

We appointed him last November on the recommendation of SRE when we reserved our apartments and I (Robin) went with him to El Tor and got the POA etc. We've all signed the contract and received it back signed by the developer. We understood the contract would be notarized at a later date but reading some of the threads we're getting a bit worried that it should have been notarized before handover in November - can anyone advise please?

Hi Robin and Jane - yes heard of your lawyer and I have only heard good reports about him so Im sure there is nothing to worry about - but once the building is 65% there and everything is passed to the lawyer it should only by then 6 months for registration.

Hi Alison,

yah. It would be nice to see some photos.

regaridng the lagal part of the process with our lawyer, I am a bit confused. we been in sharm in March 08 and paid for the lawyer through sharm real state. since then we have not heard anything from the lawyer, and to be honest my husband and I were so busy back in London and haven't really chased him up. Is this too early for the lawyer to ask for some info atleast or do you think we should contact him and ask what is going on? I have no idea of the visa process, etc...

thanks Alison.

Betty

Hi Betty you're welcome.

The lawyer cant do anything until he has power of attorney from you and a contract that has been signed by yourselves and the developer x

Alison - Thanks for the reassurance about Abbas just wish he'd reply to our emails!

Still don't understand whether registration has to take place before handover or can it happen at any time afterwards? We'd hate anything to hold up handover when we go to Sharm in November.

Robin & Jane

PS You're photos of the Mangroves looked beautiful, aren't we all lucky to be so close!

Hi Alison,

I will be leaving Sharm on the 11th in the evening. I would love to join you for the trip but is it suitable for three and a half year old? I also will have a friend with me with an 11month old baby. Let me know some details please as I would love to visit the Mangroves
