It's hard to say with it being Christmas. I know that Amazon are on their third batch, but I don't know how many they ordered each time before.

I imagine there will be a lull in sales over the next couple of months. We're waiting until everyone is back to work after the New Year before sending out review copies to the press. Hopefully it will get coverage in the property magazines but they run on such long leadtimes that the earliest that anything is likely appear will be March/April, so I can't see too much happening before then.

It's hard to get specialist books into the major chains because there's such a huge number released each week.

There was something like 2500 new titles released the same week that the Complete Guide came out - that alone is much more than an airport WHSmith would be able to stock in its entirety.

Hi Nick,

I know what you mean, however I thought with this being a guide on Egypt there isn't that many readily available are there?.
So on that basis I thought they may favour yours as it is something different to the norm.Just a thought not telling you how to market the guide,I just want it to be successful as it will increase awareness which is what is required in Egypt.

Hi Cleopatra,

I have invested in Hurghada now, I was offered phase 1 of Zafarana but declined it.
I would rather be Hurghada side to be honest with you.
It did look like a good investment with some bank guarantees if I remember rightly.
Thankyou for the info anyway.

Exclamation Trips from Hurghada

Trips from Hurghada - the trips to Cairo and Luxor, and even further away, are all great trips but please do not mis-lead potential visitors into thinking that these locations are only a few hours away. They can be really very, tiring with day trips starting at 04.00am and returning early next day having spent anything upto 12 hours on a coach.

The best way for many of these very long trips is to do an "overnighter" where you travel for maybe 6 hours one day, do some touring, then have a stay at a hotel, take an evening excursion (eg Luxor temple at night), then next day more sight seeing then the evening / night journey back.

Why was this post not removed if you felt it potentially offensive - or at least edited before making the issue even more public by repeating the reference.

Exclamation Start a thread on El Gouna

So why not let others in on the secret when you wrongly say that there is no property there for first time buyers ? I WANT more poeple to know about El Gouna

I have no problems at all with the new developments either.I want people to come to Egypt . I love it here and have been visiting for 20 years . I would love to see all of the El Gouna to Hurghada road eyesores turned around as at the moment its an embarrassment and could be twinned with Baghdad .The properties are cheaper because of his . In the same way that a property in Hackney is cheaper than a one in Chelsea .

I do not ,however, share your certainty that this will happen quickly (you contradict yourself as your past posts also warn of the possibility of unfinished projects on this road when you are promoting Sahl) Of course developers will tell you all will be perfect ,they have money to make ,but at the moment this is speculation and can not be guranteed .A developer has no control over what happens or more importantly doesn't happen in a neighbouring plot . My point is as always to tell the people who dont know the area to check it out as its will not be to everyones taste . There are some people who buy before they have ever visited Egypt ,this is a BIG risk. It worries me that this forum isn't very balanced against the potential negatives for purchasers.......Fake pyramids need I say more .
hy not Start a thread on El Gouna.

I didn't remove it as it wasn't pointed out to be to anyone in particular and if I am right sho did apologise and put the record straight that he did not mean to offend anyone.
