Suppose if you think that's ok for beachfront then i'm sure someone will pay it.
What is beachfront worth today?.
Certainly will be easier to rent and resell as long as the prices are ok.

Hi Has anybody come across what they would describe as the best value for a self catering rental property?.
If so what did you pay and what time of year was it?..

here i go again!

I know iraida rent apartments out in my block they start at 1100le for a week in a one bed apartment, while my mother was there in September they was talking to a gentleman that was renting. When we was out in November the flat two doors down was being rented out too.

So look like they can rent easily, and that type of money is not that bad saying 4-8 of you share it.

Knowing what I know now I would if i did not have my own apartment rent instead of going into the hotels, you do have alot more space and choice of where to go, also the food is better eating out than the hotels, you are not to time tables (breakfast can be dinner if you want). Also as you all know the hotels do get the cheapest meats and can get boring.
The entertainment is not all that brilliant in Egypt hotels as they have to cater for so many different cultures.

Hope this answers some questions

Jayne

I agree with Jayne and will never stay in a hotel again, no matter how cheap they 'appear' to be. The hotel we stayed in was terrible. The room was ok and the food was ate-able but more of a chore than eng enjoyable and the only all-inclusive bar as outside which is not good at this time of year. Yes, I'm sure there are somever good all-inclusive hotels but you will be paying top dollar for them.

Outside the hotel the food is sooooo cheap and the atmosphere was far better. Even though we ate and drank outside most of the time we still came home with a fair amount of money left, which is a first!!

When we went in November there was 7 of us me,hubbie, step daughter and her husband and my two kids aged then 10 and 8 and our grandson aged 3. I thought I would make it good for everyone and did one week in apartment and one week in the Albatros Resort, the first week was fantastic but the second week, the hotel was large big slides, beer and shorts we could not drink they has a taste of terps all the same wisky, vodka etc: we paid more going on excursions just to get out of the hotel.

By the 5th day we were all back at our apartment even the kids wanted to go back to the apartment and were alot happier bartering in the shops for t shirts, going to the beach for the day. and eating at McD's and kentucky.

So what was ment to be a cheap week all inclusive turned out to be a 5 days that cost more than the 9 days we did in apartment.

Agents please remember no promotional stuff thanks.
Now that I've just about got settled in here, I'm back to my favourite hobby which is scouting out all of the weird little developments from developers that are so clueless about marketing that not many people get to hear about.

In the last couple of days I've discovered some really nice beachfront villas from EUR147,000 turnkey, some ridiculously cheap studios that start from GBP10K and a nice looking new beachfront development with sensibly priced studios that will be launched in about a week officially.

This is just what I've found from picking up flyers. I haven't had chance to go 'extreme property hunting' yet, which involves walking around random building sites until the security guards get upset and then telling them to 'take me to your leader'. But I will do so when I get the chance.

I'm like a kid in a candy store being back here again!
