At the risk of drifting off-topic ...

I heard a rumour yesterday that there is a problem with Samra because the beach that it is supposed to be built on is still classified as public beach and there is nothing that can be done to stop any Tom, Dick or Harry walking into the place and taking their place in the sand.

I don't know if the rumour is true or not, but something must be up for it to have been delayed for so long.

Hi All
I've heard through the grapevine that the areas for the 57 m2 units are as: 41 m2 internal area, 8 m2 balcony and unfortunately 8m2 is lost as communal. This "lost area" isapprox. 15% of the area we are paying for. This along with the £1500 surcharge for internal partition walls to make bedrrom may mean this is not an attractive investment. I get the "RyanAir" service feeling, basic price plus lots of expensive add on's!
What do others think?
Thanks
Neil

Great! Can we have the kitchen fitted on the balcony? Or maybe put the bedroom out there? This is no bigger than my studio in DP. it's about time these developers were answerable to a regulatory body or two. Like the Ryan Air analogy Neil! I think I'll pull out of this one. I don't like cheats.

cheers

If this is the size of the junior suite - which you say is no bigger than your studio on DP - I wonder what size the actual studios will be?

As a matter of interest, if you pull out of this development, will you buy on another? If so, any ideas which one?

Hi Linda,

The studios are 35m2 plus an 8m2 balcony plus 3m2 communal space

Hi Lyndsay, thanks for the info - I take it that you're still happy with the plans?

Thanks Lindsay. I think I read you were out there recently, did you check out the site and proposals? Any news.

Looks like the studio's only lose 6.5% of their space to communal, less then half the amount lost by the junior ones.
Don't know what to do here as I'm unhappy with the overall pricing structure. Maybe check out alternatives.

Thanks, Neil

I'm like you Neil, I waver back and for. On the one hand I'm certain it's an excellent development, on the other hand we started off with a 1 bed junior suite and have ended with something very different.

Hi Linda,

I wavered a bit but when you look at what else is available for the price that I paid, I'm more than happy.

I really liked the design of the junior suite conversion, with all the curved walls.

HI Neil, Yes i'm not long back. I didn't visit the site of Regency Beach this time but I did visit it in January and it is truely amazing. I asked Andy about the delay with the contracts and he told me that he was hoping to fly to the UK soon to finalise the contracts and he hoped to have them sent out by the end of May.

One thing I will say is that I visited a different beach front development and it made me realise how amazing beach front can be and it made me stick with Regency Beach.

I hope this helps

Lyndsay

It does help Lyndsay thanks. (I think it's only us junior suite people that aren't as happy as we were originally).
