Like you, I never get replies to my emails but having phoned (from Bahrain) a few weeks ago about a different matter, Bernadett in the office was really helpful. I think they're swamped with work at the moment which I know is no excuse to ignore emails altogether.

Unlike some, we borrowed for our first installment, so the premise that at least our money is gaining interest while we wait for contracts, doesn't apply to us. If we'd have known it was going to take this long we would have waited to take out the loan.

Having said that, it seems that investing in property overseas, especially off plan, isn't always straightforward so I'm trying not to let it get to me.

(Have a look at #165 on this thread too - who is your agent by the way?)

god so sorry for delay in reply i havnt had a chance to get back on until now, my own pc is sick and in hospital & have very ltd. access at work sorry!

Thanks for reply, we borrowed too for this and like you have paid unnecessary interest which is very annoying! agents are the right move abroad.com.

I have some news from PHW,just spoke to Bernadett on the phone and she told me that all the 57 and 92m2 Appts r going to be net areas but only including balcony so there is no percentage deducted from these Appts for communal areas.

Eventough PHW havent recieved the updated plans yet from Egypt but she can say from what she heard above is true.

Absolutely brillian tnews if they do this ie. 57m net with no communal deduction. This would certainly make me complete the purchase whereas till now I was seriously thinking of pulling out. Thank you very much for this Baz.
Neil
Ps. If anyone from PHW monitors this forum then it would be nice if you were to confirm this for all of us. Thanks

Default At last I'm not on my own!

I managed to fall over this forum on a google search and am so glad I did. I've been having real concerns over the weekend after receiving an annonamous email with a link to a blogspot. Has anyone else had it?

I feel so much better now though knowing there are other buyers I can contact.

I've bought a junior suite on the 2nd floor

Hi simpywimpy and welcome to the forum, great to have you with us. We've all received the same email but I'm afraid we can't discuss it on the open forum because of legal reasons. Having said that you're not on your own

Very best wishes
Linda

well Im certainly glad Ive found the site. I was deliberately vague when I mentioned the email in case it caused problems with the site.

I didnt notice the measurements of the junior suite so I certainly learned something today but pleased that seems to be sorted out.

As you say, the prices for all the developments are rising quickly and if I lost out on this one, I don't know if I could afford another one. My hubby is looking forward to spending his retirement on one of those balconies!

We went in January and looked at quite a few but RB really stood out for us because of its location alone. Where can you get beachfront for that kind of money. I think pre-launch was something like 27k.

We are due to pay the majority all at once for a 5% discount when and if the contracts ever arrive but I think I might just sack the discount for safety at the moment.

I agree about the extra for the partition though. We nearly pulled out when we got that info as we had already been disappointed on the location of the apartment in relation to where we wanted to be and the size we were told it would be originally.
