Hi Pharoah,

Welcome to the forum. As you can see we already have avery active thread on this resort. The members on it are very helpful and I'm sure you'll get the information you're looking for.

There's so many threads covering all the different developments but I could suggest that you look at this one which discusses resorts : http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...esh-etc-8.html

If you need any help navigating the forum, please give me a shout

Linda

I appreciate seddons are uk but when we worked out what they would charge every individual (just to send a copy of due diligence they already prepared) they would stand to make millions from just one project. I also feel there is conflict of interest in the deveoper recommends them too.

I am still gonna use zeiad unless redangel comes back with some sound information since I cannot find anything myself. I know what I want my contract to read anyways so it is just a check for piece of mind really. how do others feel?

I just wanted to make you aware for those that have chosen to use zeiad of the earlier thread and leave any decision to you.

Thanks.

Hi Lou,

I've just read the thread, it's now closed! I'm still going ahead and using Zeiad as the DD has been done anyway, so he just has to check it and review the contracts.

I personally think you can feel very safe in the hands of Zeiad. I have never met him but we consulted him on some contract issues some time back and he was thoroughly professional and many other people on this forum seem to speak highly of him too. I dont understand what the problem was exactly with redangel but I think it had something to do with frustration at the time it was taking the developer of hania to provide the DD to zeied or perhaps the developer was concerned that zeiad was gaining too much influence over events as he was representing so many potential buyers. I didnt see the offending post by zeiad which prompted the suspension of the hania thread for 24 hours but I would always recommend people use a local lawyer with experience rather than a uk lawyer (unless they have a practice in egypt) particularly if they are linked to the developer. I did find it very strange that redangel having been adamant he would never appoint the developers nominated lawyer seddons, suddenly turned round and did just that. Perhaps we will never know the real story but I expect zeiad will explain events to us all in due course as he cannot be happy with how his efficiency and speed of response was called into question by red.

Hi Jeremy, I have had some correspondence with zeiad and am more than happy to use him. I think redangel is just one of those people who sound off as loudly as he can to make everyone follow the leader!! that way he feels more secure in his purchase if he has other people following the crowd!! I thought his first posting was very unfair when he basically implied that he had researched and found out loads of things (making it sound like it was about Zeiad) and when I asked him to elaborate he never had anything to back it up - his posting should have been removed from the thread!!!

For me Zaieds track record of helpful and informative postings over a long period should speak for itself. imho he is unlikely to act in any way that was not in the best interest of his clients.

Can we please stop these posts. The problem was not actually just between these two members and was not of a personal nature.

Exactly. He has given much free legal advice and also he is not charging the earth. Still I am pleased zeiad can hold his hand on his heart and say he was acting in his clients best interests and he has no shame. If the clients couldnt take the advice then that is their own tough luck.

I'm sorry Heshem, you didn't say you were a builder selling property. I obviously misunderstood you. This is not the same as a private seller. We do have facilities for selling property on the foum. Here is the link: http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/premium-membership.php

Unfortunately, I'll have to delete your post.
