Unhappy regency continental 1

[QUOTE=simpywimpy;104204]The Birmingham office of PHW has allegedly been closed for a while I am told and operating out of Chris Wrights garage at one point.

A towers resident has allegedly taken over part or all of the furniture business from Alison. How this will affect anyone who has already paid for a package from her I do not know but worth checking if this affects anyone else.

Regency continental I am told is closed but if anyone is actually in Egypt at the m nute, perhaps they could check this out?[/

Hi Maggie

Who did you buy through?
Have you paid for apartment in full and have you stayed in it previously?

Cheers

Hi Maggie

I'm so sorry to hear of your experiences in Hurghada.

I spoke to Alison and Andy last saturday when they called me at my home and they said they were still to pay the final instalment on continental but nothing more than that was said. I am very concerned that the impression I received was that there was no money left to finish projects but as Randall said, where then has all the money gone?

Do feel free to email. Im sure anyone on either of the forums will offer a listening ear and whatever support they can while you find out what is going on.

I sincerely hope this is just a glitch that can be easily sorted

Best wishes
Sandra

Hi Maggie

What baffles me is when i was out there in March the workers were on site at Continental, the Old Vic and Regency Heights.

Andy was very involved in all three projects and his colleague was very hands on with the builders. Nothing at this point stood up as to what was going to happen next, with all the allegations and removal of PHW from every project.

Where everyone stands at present is a mystery. Andy has been sent numerous e mails and the last one being from LAW. He has ignored them all.

Apparantly he is trying to raise funds?

I think your behaving well Maggie by not wanting to cause trouble. These people at present don't mind causing us trouble and worry.

So where do people stand now if they have paid monies and have been locked out of their apartment or they have now bought an empty shell which might be left standing to rot?

Alison told me that only finishing works were left on Continental so I'm surprised that the final payment to the owner of the building was not made long ago. Perhaps this is where the lock out has come from.

As for Old Vic, We had a forum member that speaks Arabic arrange a meeting with the owner of that site who told them that they had only ever had talks with Andy Harris about buying a number of apartments but that nothing had been agreed or signed with him.

What was regency beach is now being sold by Egypt-Real as Royal Beach and they have severed all ties with PHW and Andy Harris. I checked this with Nicholas at LAW who confirmed it as well.

Does the contract for Heights or Continental say who owns the actual buildings? Would anyone be prepared to write out the wording of their contract so we can ask for someone who understands Egyptian law to check it for you? If we can find the name of the owner of the building, we may be able to get someone to get their version of events as we did with Towers.

On Towers contracts there has been found to be mistakes in the wording of the contracts and between the Engish and Arabic versions of them as well.

Wishing you all well and that there may be some simple explanation to all this.

To all Regency Continental 1 Owners

The owners of the building have asked me to publish the following email address for all concerned apartment owners to contact: a.adly66@yahoo.com. The owners are concerned to resolve the current situation amicably with the cooperation of all apartment owners.

Hi, as far as i know my apartment is still not finished, the wet room/kitchen are yet to be done, as the man I paid to do the snagging informed me, but because he cannot get in to the building, I really don,t know what has been done. As you can see from the message Peter has just posted, the owner of RC1, has put a email address for all the owners to contact him so hopefully it will get sorted
