Hi Lyndsay, No there was a big muck up with PHW recieving my form etc. But all sorted now it was all in the hands of LAW since 19 march all ok now (I hope). PHW did not give me a date yet as he said once he had recieved my deposit and form it wouldn't take long to get the ball rolling, and thats it So all I can do is wait now.

I think we will probably move a few thousand over into our Egyptian account and that should cover everything until we move over.

The other nice point about having an account over in Hurghada at HSBC Bank is that they pay interest:

6.585 Egyptian Pound
4.82 British Pound
3.275 Euro
1.53 US Dollar

Smile hello from the 3 bed apartment owner in Regency

Hi everyone
we are the owners of the 3 bed / 3 bath apartment in Regency and bought it back in July 2007 - it used to be no. 106 and 107 but is now just 107. We havent had the chance to use it as a family yet due to my husband's work pressures and the cost of flights which are still outrageous during school holiday times. We originally designed it to have a third bedroom as an office/study (Mark is an author and owns a specialist company called ALLIANTIST) and purely use it as a holiday home for friends and family or as a bolthole for his writing and planning. We went a little overboard with the design and extras but I am convinced it is a great investment anyway.

In the early days we got huge value from this forum and still take a look from time to time but my husband (mark 123) gave up posting as he forgot his password and despite several attempts to get back in via the password reset process it didnt seem to like him - he even tried again earlier tonight but it wouldnt let him back in so he left it to me to register a post!

We just wanted to share some thoughts about Regency Towers and reinforce that despite the delays it is going to be fabulous. My husband went out there with one of his team for the week before Xmas and was very impressed overall, although clearly it was well behind schedule. He also had no problems using the private beach (he was supposed to be working!) and was welcomed by the hotel management. He also reserved a new apartment at Regency Beach during that trip so that was an interesting Xmas present...... I didnt even get a card!

Philip Morris of LAW limited is also our lawyer for Regency Towers and he has been brilliant (my husband now consults him for other legal stuff too so he must be good!). We cant recommend him high enough - and as other posts have suggested, he acts for you not the Agent or the Developer.

We think PHW are breaking new ground in Egypt and they have been learning along the way - Mark says pioneering is not supposed to be easy but the rewards can be truly amazing so we have put our faith in Andy, Alison and their team. We looked at a number of alternatives during our holiday there in July last year but PHW were easily the best for us and most genuine in their approach.

Our biggest frustration is the expensive flight cost and despite many websites and access to great agents like Crusader Travel (recommended by PHW and Mark found very good for his trip) it is difficult to justify nearly £2k for 4 people just to get there........so maybe we will get more use in 09 onwards. If anyone has ideas on where to get cheaper flights and or wants to rent our 3 bed for much of this year then please get in touch!

We hope to spend a few weeks there during the Summer holidays and again at Xmas so hope to meet many of you then!

Best wishes, Paula

Hi Paula, welcome to the forum. We will be in apartment 212 Regency Towers. We just want it for holidays for us, family and friends, but would also eventually like to spend some months at a time there. But like you and most people on here are finding the flights so expensive, especially during school holidays and we are a family of 6.
