hello everyone,
my husband and I are wanting to buy holiday home in hurghada. we are from st. pete russia. we went to hurghada a couple months ago, but did not make any decision now. we look foraward to learning from all you people on here. very nice website. can anyoboby recomend a good developer to talk to about a apartment. we would like a 2 bedromm with nice view. thank you,

In this last month or so, we've gone from just one or two, to lots of members who've bought or are buying there. We look forward to hearing lots more from you both about your buying experiences and life in general in Sharm.

Hello Svetlana and Sergio - lovely to meet you both. We have a few members from Russia on the forum and it's wonderful to welcome more. I think that you will find al the advice you need from the members here - everyone is very friendly and happy to share the knowledge they have and of course, you have already been to Hurghada so you know the area and you know that's where you want to buy a property. There are so many developments there, as you know, and we have many threads covering most of them but I'm sure you will hear from other members who will recommend particular developers to you. Are you wanting to buy something that's already built - does it need to be close to the sea?

Hi Sveta & Sergeo and welcome to the forum! There is a wealth of information available here and where you buy will depend on whether you plan to use the apartment yourself, to rent it out or just keep it for investment. Generally speaking, most people prefer the beachfront properties but of course they are more expensive. However there are many good projects being built close to Hurghada town which are close to all of the facilities and particularly the nightlife.

Just thought Id post as although Ive been posting Ive never introduced myself!

Im Mike,...29,...From South East London.
I used to work in the print industry when I left college. At first as a graphic designer then moved more into the large format print process.
I then left and went for a complete career change and re-enrolled in college to obtain my City and Guilds 2330 Electrotechnical Installations. Ill be a fully qualified Level 2 electrician this summer!
Ive also been working engineering hours (1am - 4am) on the London Underground for the last 2 years. The same amount of time Ive been with Zeala, my girlfriend....Who, made me loose my job in the print industry!!!!

Im also an advanced open water diver where I learned the skill at Koh Tao Island, Thailand in 2004 and try to dive at least once when I go abroad.

I have been to Egypt a couple of times sinc Dec 2006 and fell in love with it so much Ive decided to purchased an apartment at Hania Beach. FINGERS CROSSED!
