...yep here's one of us now!

Hi Jarrod (and Marvin),

Congratulations on your purchase and great to have you on board. If you're a diver and a golfer, Sahl's got you covered hasn't it? It looks as though it's going to be an amazing resort when it's completely finished though much of it, from what I can see of the photos, looks pretty good already.

I assume that you've seen the thread on Sunset Pearl. If so we'd welcome your contributions to it both positive and negative, and to the forum in general. If you need help navigating your way around please just give Alison (Queenie) or myself a shout. You'll find that the members here are a friendly lot and will give you any advice you might need on any and all subjects Egypt related

Very best wishes

Linda

Hi Aisha and welcome to the forum If you need help with navigation our two mods Lsab (Linda) and Queenie40something (Alison) are usually around to help out. Look forward to reading your posts, maybe you can set a thread up and keep us updated on your own development project? I'm coming to El Gouna on the 18th for two weeks, maybe we'll bump in to each other for a drink and a chat, would be nice Hope your daughters wedding goes well, I know the Egyptian's have big celebration. When we stayed in Cairo a few years ago, there was a wedding party in the hotel. It was very beautiful and amazing to watch

Hi Aisha

Assalamu alaikum! Like you I'm married to an Egyptian - bit longer than you though, 19 years! Congratulations and mabruk to your daughter - how exciting.

Welcome to the forum and if you have any problems finding your way around it please feel free to ask. It's actually very simple once you get the hang of it. We look for forward to hearing lots from you, if and when you find the time. I'm guessing that time will be in short supply at the moment.

Very best wishes
Linda

Yes I am, alhamdulillah. I converted before I met my husband. What about you?

After 19 years, patience is still very much a necessity, and even though his English is perfect and we're both muslims of course, the culture thing still gets in the way sometimes, unfortunately.

Afetr you've made a few more posts, you're status will change to 'active member' and I'll be able to send you a private message. We can have a chat then!

Oh Yes Linda I also converted before we married, I had been studying Arabic in the UK and as I was the only Non muslim in the class I began to look into the subject. I converted in Egypt at Al Ahzar in Cario Al Humdullilah.
My daughter who is getting married in Hurghada next week is also on the Verge !! Inshalla.
I understand totally about the 'Cultural ' thing and my daughter is just begining to find out for herself so we will all have a lot to talk about when we can PM each other and not bore the pants of others on he Forum.
Look foward to chatting soon
Kim ( Aisha)
