Smile Introductions

Hi everyone,
I'm 49 and having a midlife crisis;
I split up with my partner of 5 years last November and moved out to a property we were trying to sell, so what happens but the market crashes and we've still got it. But it's rented out now so I had to move back to his, not the same!!!!!!!! But thanks to my wonderful friend Tony who bought in Jewel in the Crown, I have a place to live til I get my life sorted, or run out of money, or he wants it back.

I lived ,with my ex husband and son (now 23) in Alexandria from '84 to '92 and visited Hurghada several times, except the tourist bit wasn't there, only the Sheraton and Magawich so I was amazed to see the difference when I visited in March.

In UK at the moment, I sell new build houses and apartments, in and around Manchester, not easy in the current climate, hence spending HOURS on this website this week. Just aswell really, found all these references to not staying more than 30 or 90 days? (would love a definitive answer, Luxor is 30 days) So can I take trip to Jordan or somewhere on a scheduled flight or bus?(as some one suggested) a few weeks before my return charter flight and be ok to leave? HELP PLEASE. ASAP!! And note to the government, it's put me off buying; or do they not want long term expats bringing their pensions in, only short stay tourists!!!!
Oooops, bit of a rant there. I put it down to my time of life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to the introduction bit;
Unless something changes I will be out in Hurghada from 9th Sept until 9th Dec, then back after christmas, and on my own so I'd LOVE some company. I like riding, reading, dance, good food,the odd beer or bottle of wine, and lazing on the beach/by the pool, and I'd like to find/set up a libray or book exchange of some sort. Could do with some exercise too.
I'm quite used to the Egyptian pace of life, (or should that be lack of pace?), and can't wait to get started doing absolutely NOTHING, for a while at least, and just soaking up the atmosphere.
Can't wait to get back there, roll on September. Helen.
