Hi personally - I took sterling with me and paid with that which my supplier accepted. If changing sterling to le then wait until you get there as the exchange rate is better. I didnt ask to see if he accepted credit cards.

Of course taking cash is always risky as most insurance policies only cover you around £500 each. I didnt let mine out of my site and couldnt wait to hand it over!

I paid a 65% deposit and the balance on completion.

Ill stick my two pence worth in, i take travellers cheques and then cash them over there as you get a better rate. I f you buying a package of furniture offer direct bank transfer so you wont need to take as much cash with you??

Hi Matt,

Welcome to the forum, if you need any help finding your way around, just shout and somebody is sure to hear you. Our moderator Alison (Queenie40something) is on regularly and always happy to help out. Maybe you would like to introduce yourself on the introduction thread some time.

There is a thread for the Waterhouse Project, I've copied the link below

Default Message for Adele

Hi Adele,

There seems to be some confusion over the furniture package for Oasis Marina and Oasis Resort. I have bought a 2 bed villa apartment at Oasis Marina with the 'turnkey' option. When we visited the Oasis Resort in July, we were told that the furniture in the show apartments there was in fact the furniture for Oasis Marina. Do you know, or can you find out for us, firstly whether this is indeed the case and also whether Oasis Marina will have any choice with the fabric/soft furnishing? I know we are given a 3 choices of wood.

Hi Suzi the show apartments you saw in Oasis Resort were specifically for Oasis Marina; there are others for Oasis Resort. The wood finish is indeed white, light wood and dark wood. Not sure about the fabrics but if Adele doesn't know I can find out.
