Thats brilliant thanks everso. Alot cheaper than what I found it for. We have a House of Fraser a couple of miles away so I will nip into town tomorrow and see if they have one in stock - hopefully they will give me a demo and I can try it out. Will let you know.
Thanks again xxx

if there's one thing I like its a bargain! Fingers crossed they have the item in stock, but it may be worth calling the customer services number to check stock at your local store, thats if anyone is available on a saturday of course.

Hi I bought mine in Aldi for £15. Weighed 10kg and is the same as what you get in the hotels. Digital where you punch in your own number. Same size more or less as a microwave and is battery operated. It comes with 2 keys as well in case the batteries die but dont lose the keys.

Last year they came out in Jan for flights April to October.

I have moved your thread here as there may be some members that know where you can get them in Egypt.

Question Furniture Packs

Hello all
I am starting to think about Furniture options for a one bedroom apartment at Lotus breeze due to be completed in Aug 2009.
I see most Developers offer Furniture Packs.
Has anybody bought this option and how have you found the quality. Is the price for these packs generally good value or a little expensive.
I plan to use the apartment as a holiday home whilst occasional rent to mainly family and colleagues, so I will be looking at design and quality for money rather than something that will be basic for rental purposes.
Any advise or comments welcome.
Peter

Hi Peter - I didnt go with the developers pack as the quality was not good and it was a lot dearer than elsewhere. After lots of research I choose a local business and got everything from them and it worked out at £4000 for a 1 bed which moreorless included everything including full size fridge freezer, oven with 4 ring hob top, micro, fitted kitchen, air cons, water heater, sofa bed, twin beds, black out curtains, towels, pics, ugs, etc etc etc.
I would recommend researching and getting other buyers to recommend people they have used. I was going to get elecs from A, sofa from B, kitchen from C etc but in the end didnt want all the hassle and if anything goes wrong or breaks you just have the one contact to go back to.

Good luck.

Hi peter

I used same guy as Alison for same reasons.

we were discussing this yesterday and the theory is that developers often get furniture units made up somewhere and then store them ready to fit into appts but they get handled and knocked about a fair bit so often they are not in a good state. of course they will all vary but the temptation is to take the easy option and think the developers know best, when in fact they are builders/developers and the furniture package is probably seen as an easy way to make some extra profit.

I don't want to paint everybody with the same brush as no doubt there are some great packages about but I prefer to go to a specialist in furnishing etc . As Alsion says, take a good look around and conpare prices and specifics such as what make of aircon/fridge/oven/tele as brand make a big difference in price and quality.

best of luck in that,

Iain
