I bought a Vax that weighed less than 8kg. There are alot lighter models out there. Next month we have 60kgs between the 3 of us and we dont need to take many clothes, toiletries etc as we left most things out there so hopefully I can take the bed, the dvd, mp3 docking player etc. Plus a few Xmas pressies.
Bad news - went to order the bed yesterday from House of Fraser and the price must have been a mistake ( £99 instead of £249 ) because now it has changed to £199!!
Thanks for that information Queenie, I looked at the video of the bed but didn't realize how light it was. The price is a bit higher but I think i will also go ahead and purchase one as this will eliminate the need for a sofa bed, and gives a lot more options on design with our furniture. also thank you for the other info.
I will start looking at home for a lot of Items that are better quality and cheaper than in Egypt.
Peter.

That's only a Fiver off £250 then by the time you buy it the haulage companies will use that fiver to cover their costs of increased taxes on fuel.

i guess prices will stay same as no one would like to lose and also you have to remember the GBP and Euro goes down against Egyptian pound so they already lost some money

Hi Peter hope you see this but just in case will try and pm you. Called my local House of Fraser today and they didnt have the bed in stock so called my nearest largest store. They had 2 in stock and they DO have it on offer at £99 for the double up until Friday. I had the choise of paying there and then and picking up or pay another £30 for delivery which was what I went for as the nearest store is over 20 miles away and by the time I paid petrol and parking and getting back to the car on my own I thought better to get it delivered on Tues to my works address. After Friday it will either go to £199 or £249!! So get in as a great saving x
