Has anyone actually used this service? If so your comments please. Prices, service etc.

I have used the service of Clean & Clear, owner (female) is Italian, but cleaners (male) are Egyptian. You have to tell them what to do (that's normal), but next time you'll check if they did it (for example cleaning the cooker) and they "forgot". Sometimes they will get lazy, working slow (more hours to bill you). If you complain to the owner, they will clean one time for free.

Also they don't speak much English, so it is sometimes difficult to explain.
The German people do speak English.

@ Nubian Queen: maybe you can sent an SMS and ask for the prices. But I think they will first see your appartment and then give you the price.

Do you have a problem wth German cleaning companies?

I am British and I think, given the history between our 2 countries, it is great that Germans can pop around and clean my house whilst I have a cup of tea.

We used the German company.

It was a problem that they came around at 6.00am in order to start on the sunbeds, but the upside is that they annexed part of next door's apartment and so now we have an extra bedroom.

Only kidding.

Some of my best friends are Germans (and they actually do have a sense of humour).

Actually we use the Italians who employ Egyptians and they aren't bad as long as you have a bossy girlfriend who stands over them and tells them what's not good enough.

I know one company which is actually run by Egyptian person (very good English speaker though), married to a German lady

He is a very strict person, though I havent seen how the work is done, it seems he is trustful.

Anyway, they are my friends, and from what I know i would recomment them

P.S Hurghada does not equal Egypt, so to judge about Egypt from living in this city is not right (though I had a bunch of bad experiences throughout). Once you work out the system of dealing - it is not so bad

Lots of people have used them for years and have been very happy with them. It costs in the region of 25LE per hour but you do need to provide the cleaning materials.
