Thank you for your compliment Seloua. You have very good English, particularly as it is your 3rd language, I have no difficulty understanding you. I would love to pick up some French lessons ready for my next big adventure in a few years. Maybe you can give me some? I have to warn you, my French is very minimal, haven't had any lessons since leaving school and that was .... ahem .... shall we say quite a few years ago

Thanks for moving our posts in the correct location Linda. I'm pleased to see you're doing your job correctly LOL

thanks

I truly hope that I can add something to this forum and help people with my experiences. I really believe that experiences are the key to good advice, so I'll do my best to speak in all case based on experience.
Though maybe everybody needs to keep an eye on the fact that I'm slightly 'Egyptianized'!
And you know what?? I can suggest it, really it's adviceable. Though it's life, just life everywhere, you have responsibilities, like everywhere else, and money is also something you can't run away from.
But next to these things, life is great here!!

Bonjour Seloua,

Oui Francais will be very useful in Morocco too et oui je do wish to visit there as vous know (he he).

Regardez chez notaire, who are you planning to give Power of Attorney to? If it is your husband, I'm unsure, but I'd guess it is much the same as giving it to a solicitor as your representative. You will need to gain a Power of Attorney document which both yourself and your representative (the person you are giving the power to) to sign in the presence of a Notary Public. The NP will then sign to confirm he witnessed both signatures, then you must send or take it to the Foreign Commonwealth office and the Egyptian Consulate for legalising. It really isn't that hard to do, and shouldn't cost more than around £100 in total. Once you have the PoA signed and legalised, pass it to your representative (ie: husband or solicitor) and they will have the relevant permissions to perform tasks on your behalf.

May be worthwhile sending Zeiad an email or posting on the legal thread roughly explaining what you wish to do, I'm sure Zeiad will be able to help.

P.S. Excuse moi Francais LOL
