Go to Mcdonalds on Esplande Mall there is a road almost opposite- where the taxis and cars turn round- which runs along side the Sinbad hotel walk along that road for 300-400 yards and the Winking frog is on the left hand side on the corner. You will walk past the road which leads to the bowling alley. Hope this makes sense and you find it!

If driving, one way is to come into the Touristic area from the roundabout by the Old Vic beach.
You pass KFC, Pizza Hut on the left hand side and a shisha/internet cafe called Arabesque on the right side (very nice there). Then MacDonalds is on the left and you need to take the next road on the right. Drive for a short way and you will see the Winking Frog on the left hand side. if you continue past it you will come to the Egyptian Hospital on the right hand side with a pharmacy opposite it.

Seloua I've moved your post to this thread http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...lawyer-23.html as Zeiad doesn't often have the time to look at others. Very unusual to see him post in the chit-chat thread!

Default Winking Frog

Thanks for the directions. I thought it was on Village Road. Should be able to find it now.

Hi Margaret,
I'll do my best to help you out,
From your profile I understand that you life in El Gouna, so I'll start from there.
From the gate of Gouna you cross the road to Cairo, go on to the Desert highway, of course in direction of Hurghada, keep going.
On the roundabout, keep going in the direction of the Hurghada, pass by the Yuhayna factory, untill you find the ringroad, here you have to go right, pass by the mosaic on the right side and take the (in total) second u turn.
and after that the first road to your right.
Now you will find yourself on the road where is Miramar coffeeshop, barclays bank, a petrol station and akhenaten bazaar/museum.
After Akhenaten you will find a quiet big perfume bazar, the name I can't remember at the moment, something like flowers.....
this is the last shop in this row, after there is a wall which is used as free advertisement place for discotheques and parties.
Then there is a street to your right, take it. On the end of this street you will find the Egyptian Hospital (which by the way is half German owned) and a strange cross, you turn left.
On the corner of the street you are on at the moment and the next street to your right you will find the Winking Frog.

I'm sorry that I describe it based on landmark rather then streetnames, but I find that people usually don't even know the name of their own street, so don't even think about the names of other streets. But landmarks are usually very well known.

good luck and have a very nice evening.

Warm regards,

Huda

Default Winking Frog

Thanks to everyone who replied giving me directions to the Frog.

We managed to find it yesterday afternoon - and the bigger Metro and the Indian restaurant but couldn't make to the quiz last night. However, now that we know where to go we will try to make it for next week.

Thanks to everyone again,
Margaret

Hi Margaret

You should have called in yesterday afternoon, I was sitting outside using the laptop while my Hubby was inside watching the footie.

The quiz went well but hubby swears that he will not do it again, it's definitely more fun taking part.

So we need volunteers, any offers???? I missed it again last sunday, too much partying, can't take it at my age!!! Will be at the Party there on thursday tho. Don't know what it's for but they've got entertainment.
