Default rentals or not!

as a layperson in this rental market business overseas, having joined now a number of months ago, reading all sorts of messages, some from forum members who i know are very experienced in this area. tell me, now i have been to hurghada and seen the many building projects, completed or not, land continuing to be bought, what do you think is the percentage of people who will rent out their apartments?? is that an impossible question?

i read on one thread that somebody thought it was mad to only rent out a few times a year, but supposing you cant get the customers etc. what then? is there not going to be an overspill of apartments for rental. is it not cheaper to buy a package, though i hear it is very different of course to have your own apartment rented, some people like that or no.

in two minds about all this rental business, wear and tear, profitability and all the other actions that need to be put in place.

of course the credit crunch has happened easy jet are down in profits, i dont hear a lot said about the crunch in terms of rentals, though i have read about fares going up! just a few thoughts.

Hi
I am the director Of Well Placed Apartments, the rental agency for Desert Pearl 1
and I have to say that the rental side of things in Hurghada is looking very encouraging, the rental market in Egypt is very much in it's infancy, and it is all about testing the market, and being competative against the hotels, but we have made quite a few bookings in the last couple of weeks since we took over the rental management, and think that anyone with an apartment in a complex can be encouraged by this.
You are quite welcome to PM me with more detailed questions, and I will be happy to answer to the best of my ability.

Claire

Default weather news uplift.

The weather has been cool in Hurghada, rumour has it, that its very hot today. Lets hope it remains so, when many of us will be going there in January for the handover. Allegedly its going to snow here in the south UK in next few days.

Dear Nubian Queen,
you have 2 ways first one is just search in search engines (rent flat in hurghada) then list your property with the first 3 sites for rent, and then all you need to have a property management company that handle for you flat cleaning, maintenance, meet and assist your client at the airport and drive them to your flat and all this against small fees.

other way is giving to a rental agency that will charge you alot and share your rental income

Smile Fairwell and good luck

Just wanted to say fairwell to the many friends I have made on this forum and wish you all the best with your purchases. In light of recent events regarding the Oasis threads, I have decided that TP no longer has anything to offer me as a member and therefore have deleted my profile and requested account closure.

Thank you to those of you that have given your support, guidance and assistance
