I can tell that you are a very proud daddy Zeiad! He's a gorgeous little boy, they're great fun at that age but they grow up so fast though. My 'little' boy is now 15 years old and 6'3" (190cm) Seems like only yesterday that he was the same age as your son.

Oh my God Iain If mine ever does anything like that I do NOT want to know.... and I 'specially don't want to see the evidence!!!!

(I think dads are always proud of this stuff while mums worry themselves into an early grave!!!!)

You should see the video!!

Yes I guess you're right but his mum was quite proud of him too! He did say he'd never do it again, scariest thing he'd ever done, 7 or 8 seconds of free fall before the bungy cuts in, horrible.

Anyway they have to do their own thing don't they?
Iain

They do - you're right. It's true what they say though....the older they get, the more you worry! All part of the joys of parenthood

Awww thanks all

Well, I am not sure if I'd allow him to practice dangerous sports in young age, but if that was what he wanted when he grows older I'd let him do what he wants. Yeah I feel he's gonna be taller than I am. I am 6' 0" but I hope he'd be taller.

Wow!!! Rabies in Surrey? Sounds dangerous! Rabies - medically talking - is the most lethal virus all over the world "biologically" but for the humanity's good luck, science has reached a vaccine that is effeciently able to cut its life cycle, given that it's taken early enough after exposure, unlike a less deadly virus i.e. HIV which science has failed so far to cut its life cycle inside the human body without toxicating the human body. Therefore HIV is still considered practically deadlier than rabies. Science has progressed dramatically during the last 50 years, yet still paralyzed against viruses that can go latent behind human cells "Neurological cells for HSV, CD4 and more cells for HIV, and unknown places for HPV."

I "REALLY" hope to witness the day when science succeeds to eliminate all dangerous viruses from the globe.

However I have a feeling that this bat's incident is a single one, especially when rabies doesn't go on pandemics usually, so I think it's still safe there, but yes it's wiser to keep kids in, until the authorities declare the situation safe. And now that they know of the incident, they must've got adequate quantities of the vaccine in the nearby hospitals, just in case.

Zeiad
