...its a great little handbook and the right size to fit into your pocket or bag. There are different sections eg in restaurants, in case of emergency, at the airport etc etc.

Minyu = menu
ashrab = i drink
tishrab = you drink (to a man)
tishraba = you drink (to a woman)

When inviting someone to have a drink, say tishrab 'eeh? (to a man) or tishrabi 'eeh? (to a woman).

Last summer, in a last ditch attempt to get our son to learn Arabic, my husband sent our 14 year old son off to Cairo for a month. He was almost fluent in the 'bad' words and nothing else! My husband, despite himself, was quite impressed!!!

The only slightly rude one I know is emshee ( sp ) which basically means go away.
