Hello logan,
I do not live in India but my husband is Indian and so are most of the people we socialize with. My feeling is that there are lots of things happening in India now. The economy is booming and quite a few Indian expatriats are considering going back home. Your options may be numerous depending on whether you want to go there in order to start a business or just to relax and enjoy the beach. If you are looking for a fun place I understand that some spots in the South (Goa for example) are perfect.

Good luck!

I thought one of the strictest regulations regarding owning property in India was for agricultural/plantations/farm houses?
