Default New Contracts..

Has anyone received the updated contract with the escrow account details on it yet???
Also new plans should be out this week with the correct sizes onit for the appartments.
The old ones didn`t add up to the correct measurements...
Anyone else found anything out about this development or already signed???

Thanks for the update, so is there anyone out there who have actually signed contracts & paid the 20% deposit? Does paying the 20% into the escrow account not safe guard the deposit until licences are granted?

Quick update...

After demanding 6 drafts of the contract myself and Mark have finally signed for our 2 Penthouses.

We had a fair few things changed in the contract and were happy enough to finally go ahead.

Now looking forward to it!!

Hi, would be very interested to know what additional changes you have managed to get to contract.

We were the ones that got the Escrow account for the first payment to go into, we also have it so second payment is not payable until after six months after planning permission is granted, not six months after we sign the contract as stated to begin with.
Also a letter stating the French version is identical to the English version too.

Plus we could pay via credit card thus having extra security.

Hi Lamps Buddy,

Having just sent back the contract and 20% deposit last week for my penthouse, I am intrigued to see that you have negotiated to pay your next 20% 6 months after the permission is granted.

Saffron Villas said this is not possible and developer is not prepared to agree to this so wondering who you agreed this with.

Many Thanks

Freddy

Hi - agreed it with Saffron, have it in B&W on our contracts too.

Exact wording is:

"Six months from signature of this agreement, or at start of construction whichever is later"

So even better than when permission is granted, its actually when construction starts.
