I'm really surprised that New Zealand hasn't been mentioned on this forum yet. Ah, well- I'm honoured to be the first!

New Zealand is a great place. It's becoming increasingly popular among people wanting to immigrate, people wanting to purchase a holiday home, people wanting to buy to rent and people simply wanting to invest in Kiwi property.

I think the reason it is appealing to such a wide variety of people is the fact that there is so much space over here, there's room to breathe. It is a very pleasant surprise after coming from somewhere like London (like I did)! The exchange rate is very attractive to buyers from Europe and America (pounds and US dollars buy a lot of house in New Zealand) and the gorgeous scenery and lack of pollution doesn't hurt either.

I am a great advocate of New Zealand. The country had not really been on my radar before my dad randomly decided to move over here five years ago and I started to visit him on an annual basis. After two visits I had decided I wanted to live her all year round!
