Not sure about La Vollier, but I have been reliably informed that Dunes should be 2010/11.

Hi Coco

Le Voilier is a while off yet...............the developer has to apply for a full company status in Tunisia before the license application will be submitted and then the license has to be granted. I would say it is a minimum of 3 months before even reservations can be made. (it could be earlier but i think it will be unlikely) It is possible to waitlist for the project but no guarantees can be offered at this stage.

The Dunes is far more advanced than this in that full due diligence is in place, licenses are done and the first phase release is already being reserved, with contracts available within 21 days.

If you would like details on both projects please visit Overseas Property Hotspots - Tunisia

If you would like to see the due diligence report for The Dunes, either email me at lisa@overseaspropertyhotspots.com or drop me a PM through the forum.

Many thanks

Lisa

Where is the Dunes located? What is rule on re-sale? Can you get financing from any bank on the DUNEs project?

Hi Hameed,

I believe the Dunes is located on the borders of El Kantaoui and Chott Meriem and completion is set for late 2010. As far as finance is concerned, if you are a Tunisian national it will not be a problem, however foreigners are not able to get mortgages at present in Tunisia although this may be changing according to our friends who live there. Think the government has seen how well Morocco has done in this respect and they are liberalising the mortgage industry so foreigners can also obtain Tunisian mortgages. Our friends have bought a couple of properties in Tunisia as they think prices will rocket once foreigners are able to get mortgages. I am planning on going there again soon to view the Dunes site so will let you guys know what I think, but in either case I am determined now to buy something in the Sousse - Kantaoui area. Tunisia is beautiful and affordable and being only 3hrs from the UK is a big bonus!!

Hi Hammed

Have a look here at this website and you can download the dunes brochure which gives all the details you require including finance options.

Been looking at the The Dunes for the past few days. Looking to buy a studio. Doing my research on Tunisia, must say, looks exciting and the right time to buy.

Default more pictures of tunisia

these pics i took in sidi bou said. located on the med coast, i think it is sicily in the background of the photos??

the presidents summer house is located here, our boutique hotel was close by, but as you can see its a very relaxed place.

it's so beautiful the place is visited all day by tourists, bussed in from all over tunisia, however by night they have gone and the place turns back into a sleepy village.

it's not cheap in sidi, with carthage just 20 minutes up the road, and tunis about 40 mins thru traffic, this is the place that rich tunisians, french expats, and the fashionably rich hang out, it was nice to pretend, for a few days at least...
