How is New Zealand holding up with property values?

Property values have decreased over last 18 months but looks like we may be at the bottom. Last 12 months prices have dropped 9.2% slight imporvement on last month at 9.3%. I reckon this year will be a good time to buy. Interest rates possibly at low end now as well and NZ dollar has dropped against US dollar and Yen.

Does New Zealand provide residence visa to property owners?

Do not think so. NZ provides visa's based on points systems according to education, family, qualifications and wealth. You collect so many points under each or a number of catergories. If you reach the required amount you will be eligiable to get a visa to work and live. Otherwise can get 3 - 12 month holiday vias.
