Default It didnīt take long to prove me right!

Hi GG. Tommy knows this is one of my favourite gripes - that was what he found funny no doubt. I was justified in my comments this weekend, when another posting appeared in the Egypt section of the forum about an exhibition, suggesting that anybody wishing to invest in Sahl Hasheesh needed to do it this weekend because the prices were going up 25%. The exhibition only covered Resort Alliance product (so no Serenia, Pyramisa or Sunset Pearl) and of what was available, I have it from the developer that only Palm Beach Pizza Hut goes up in price today - and God knows why 25%. They couldnīt sell it at the old price! If anybody wants to know, Al Andalous and Ocean Breeze go up 15% on 1st May unless the developer is telling two of his agents different stories (none of the prices had been changed on the extranet this morning, so either they didnīt sell any at the weekend and decided to keep the prices the same - which proves my point - or they all got drunk last night and havenīt done it yet, which is probably closer to the truth). Anyway, itīs misleading telling less than half of a story. Iīm no angel, but I believe you suggested agents should act with honesty and diligance and I agree. Magnate will blow a fuse when he gets back from the States and Tommy is probably pissing himself!

Red face

Hi andy, tommy thought it was funny because the thread about angels just came to an end, we were talking about angels and he thought it was funny that the thread did not continue, that is what he found funny. Or that is what I understood about it when I asked him.

I think In any forum there must be section where people can discuss there business. i think moderator shouldn't take it as publicity.

Default Too much about Sahl Hasheesh?

Property prices in Tanjah have been "due to rise" 25% since last August, and they still havenīt drained the swamp (it was raining there yesterday, so now it will be a feature lake). It goes on, and on and takes away the pleasure of being involved in a community.
Andy if you had been there you would know why - it is a truly amazing project! As Moderator on the Egypt section I would be delighted to get more comment about other projects in the area rightly or wrongly I work on the principal that if anyone else has something to contribute they can 'redress the balance', as Andy & Alison have done. The truth is we need a lot more contributors to keep the section interesting.

In particular, from people in the travel industry who may have knowledge of any planned improvement in service levels from UK airlines flying to Egypt and from anyone in the finance industry who may be able to shortcut the route to getting a decent mortgage offering in Egypt. If anyone is reading this - lets have your views...

Why don't you create a separate section for agents to post their listings?

I think this is an excellent forum. The advertising is obvious that it is advertising, and it can be taken with a grain of salt.

The problem that I see with this site is that many people come and read and visit, but never post. So many people, they must be looking for information, yet they never ask questions.

Questions are what gets a discussion started.

I've asked a couple of questions and got excellent infomation almost immediately. So there are contributors here who know answers and are willing to share.

I belong to a couple of really good discussion groups where the moderator presents topics of interest to be discussed at any time when things slow down. That helps to keep people interested and discussions flowing.

I can tell you one huge problem with this site and the amount of traffic.

It is very difficult to figure out how to post a new thread.

I know it can be done, because I've posted a couple of new threads, but even after doing it, I can't figure out how to get a new thread posted.

It doesn't even tell you in the FAQs how to post a new thread. It tells you what you can post, and how to add a poll to your post, but it doesn't tell you how to post the original question.

If new people come around and can't figure out how to ask their questions, there isn't going to be much activity on this site.

If the "post a question" button would be a lot bigger and maybe a different color, there would be more activity on this site.
