Thanks Lsab,i guess it boils down to the fact that i feel that my opinion would have a little more weight behind it if i was actually in the trenches like most of you and therefore i would be in a "Been there, done that" position rather than a "Not been there yet but i'll throw in my two pence worth anyway" position....Still having said that,we are all intelligent people, so everyone has the option to heed or ignore my opinion anyway.

Although I'm in the trenches as you say, I'm still at the stage where I ask more than I actually offer, but I'm learning a lot by questioning those who're very experienced. One thing I can say for sure, is that nobody minds being asked and I haven't come across many who think that my opinion isn't valid. At least I'm contributing and that's what we need from all of you that haven't yet. I for one, look forward to hearing more from you

Yes forums are good plateform. here conversation,resolution, discussion, advertisement, selling or buying all are possible.

Good stuff....I do have loads of questions but as i am heading to portugal i won't post them till i get back...I don't know if i should post them on the new thread area or look for somewhere more country orientated though some of my questions are of a general nature...Out of respect for the others posting here i don't want to hi-jack this thread.

One of the problems with any forum of this nature is that it tends to get dominated by postings from people who have bought property here and those involved in marketing property.

If you have a contribution to make in any area at all, whether property related or just general interest about life in different parts of Egypt it will be much appreciated.

Whether existing or prospective property owners we all share an interest in wanting to learn as much as we can so please post away!

To comment on the activity increase, i am happy to set up a new page on my website for those agents with speciality knowledge of a particular country by inserting a link to their site or blog on this new page.We could call it property from around the world.
