Default Euro/Pound strength

Does anybody know if the Euro is going to get stronger than it is now?

Nobody 'knows' what will happen to exchange rates.

I guess the people who know play the FX markets.
The economists a year or so ago said 1.30 euro to pound was about right, but the reality is who actually knows. If you do, you can make money, buying one currency that is going down and buying another one that is going up.

That is true, but ever since I saw the news about the debt crisis in the Euro zone, It has made me unsure, I did speak to some fx brokers, but at the end of the day, they can't tell the future

it has been fluctuating between 1.1 and 1.15 for the last 6 months. I managed to get 1.14 when I changed some of our money earlier this year and they are saying it may improve so fingers crossed. I am actually getting some good advice from Currencies direct. Gareth at SpanishVilla.com put them onto me. Thanks Gareth.

I just checked Currencies direct with on a website and at the moment there is companies providing better rates, might be worth a try for you... This is the website I used:

Currency Comparison - Compare Currency Companies For Best Rates - Compare The Currency Market

mmm Thanks for the recommendation Raj15 but I think I will stay with currencies direct. The website does not breed confidence..... I compared with several different firms and got the best rate on the day I purchased my euros.

I like to run an online calculation as well just to stay on top of things. The website you have sent me to does not have one...... Mr and Mrs Ball seem happy but that was a long time ago.... Surely they have had more clients since then?

The company I got recommended was Currencies 4 you... their website is The 4 You Group - Currencies, Properties, Mortgages and Insurance

Try comparing them, so far they have beaten all the other rates I have been quoted.

Wow, what a question, you couldn't call it the £ is being devalued and it could get a lot weaker especially as Britain crashes in the coming year and so. But I'd say it could get weaker against the euro, because they will not let the euro die.
