Default Moving to Estepona of Spain

Me, my wife and son are looking at relocating to the Estepona area of Spain and are visiting from the 18th - 25th July to have a more in depth look around the area and at various properties available.

We have researched this eventual move as much as possible but would love to meet up with expats that have already taken the plunge to maybe meet up for a drink and discuss the pro and cons of relocating to the area. As you know peoples real life experiences can high-light areas not really taken in to consideration, any advise that you may have experienced and would be willing to share to help would be of great use.

We are looking at a permanent move so jobs will be a key factor, I am a plasterer and building maintenance by trade, anyone that would be willing to give up a little of their time to meet us, we would be very grateful.
Thanks
Nelson

Welcome to Expat focus, I am sorry that I have not welcomed you sooner but I have been away exploring the world, i.e. Brazil, First and foremost, do you speak Spanish? As you will need this as a basic to get a job. Unless of course you plan to deal only with the British that live her in Spain.

That is about the only advice that I can give you at this point in time, if you speak Spanish you will find that the Key Words that are spoken her in Spain are "Its not What You Know, Its Who You Know" Spain is an old country, the families are large and they tend to keep jobs within the family so as an Expat, unless you know other expat's, jobs will be hard come by.]
Thanks
Drew
